Comments: I got this rod as my top water rod, a guild insert broke after about two months of consistent fishing. I treat my SLX as my go to rod and have put much mor time and abuse on it with no broken guides. Save a few bucks and buy the SLX it's a world of difference better.

Comments: good rod, not far off from the new clarus, im finding that next gen shimano rods are a far cry from what they were, like the old clarus and exage. all being said, this rod is shimano quality lowered down into a 50 dollar price range, a little bit tip heavy but good build and overall not too bad to fish with all day, it is still a nice stick but i really wish shimao put some of their last gen models back out, the 7 foot medium spinning exage is quite possibly one of they nicest sticks ive touch under 150 dollars coming it at only 70 retail.

Comments: i bought the 7'2 MH and paired it with my SLX for my first baitcasting combo! Let me tell you this rod is sensitive! it is unreal! Since I am a beginner, I dont have the experience with more expensive gear but with this rod, I can work my texas rig and literally feel the bites and hook the fish easily! Its insane how sensitive this rod is for $50! One time just to troll my friends, I put a drop shot rig on this rod which is primarily for spinning combos and finese fishing, and caught a fish second cast! Not sure if that means anything since it is finesse style, but this rod could do it and super sensitive!

Comments: SICK rod 50 bucks for great build quality. rod is heavy but feels very sturdy. Excellent bass rod. I have a 7'2 H. 5/5 for a 50 dollar rod so rad.

Comments:I bought the 7ft Med for small cranks and this rod is PERFECT! For applications like finesse where you have a lot of rod movement it does get a tad heavy, but for cranking applications its surprisingly sensitive and for crank-baits the near parabolic action fights a big fish BEAUTIFULLY and keeps to fish pinned to the bait. I had a 3 lb smalley hit my crank at the boat, run under the boat while wrapping the rod around the boat and i fought the fish back with NO damage to rod. Best Budget rod around.

Comments:got the 7'6h, the 7mh, and the 6'8m and you absolutely will not find a better budget rod on the market. Pair this bad bitty up with a shimano SLX, and you will not be disappointed.

Comments: I had bought the 7'6 heavy for just froging and bed fishing and it was the most uncomfortable rod I've ever had, I've never had a cramp in my hand from fishing. I do not know if it was from the handle or the finger lip but I was a fun rod I had only used it for 4 days also.

Comments:I have the 6'8 med hvy and it is a killer jerkbait rod and it balances well, but the rod is way too soft for ANYTHING with a single hook, It is IMPOSSIBLE to get a good hookset. I am a fan of Shimano rods and reels but if you plan to buy this rod for Texas rigs, Jigs, Frogs, Spinnerbaits, etc, you will most likely regret it, this being said if you're using it for treble hooked baits it is a great buy.
