Zodias 7’2” med modfastGot this for square bills, small top hook swimbaits, shakey heads, flukes. It's really a great rod, very light, sensitive, well balanced, I have a Lews custom lite on mine 15lb seaguar and it will absolutely bomb 3/8oz Rocco. Definitely a good rod for all around lighter work. Gonna try a 7'2” med-hvy fast next.

Great RodHave not previously owned a shimano rod and a really helpful TackleWarehouse worker suggested the 7’6” medium moderate fast for crank baits. It’s the best crankbait rod I’ve owned. It lets the bait do its thing and it keeps the fish hooked. Two 9lbers on it so far this year. I will be buying another one soon.

Great rods. These rods are great. I have many of the models I’ve also had a lot of rods between expride, slx, curado ect. I feel these rods are the best overall. With so many options from bfs to a big swimbait rod to a deep crank rod. I don’t feel they are the most sensitive, however I feel overall through the lineup they are more balanced. 9/10

Outstanding PerformanceI bought my first Zodias rod 6 years ago. And now I own 7. I have two of the old style Zodias rods and the rest are the new design with the monocoque handle. These rods have performed extremely well and are very sensitive. I mainly fish for largemouth and smallmouth bass however I’ve caught Walleye, Muskie and Northern Pike with these rods and they have performed exceptionally. These are quality rods that everyone should try as they will be money well spent!

Really? That brittle.I have owned the 7'2" Med-Heavy model for a year now. I have "Hog Hauled" more "TANKS" from the Ca. Delta and Clear Lake that I can count....no issues, no problems, or concerns. NO ROD BREAKAGE! I'm not saying that it can't happen, but my personal experience is that these are great rods for the price. There have been times I thought it could snap, but never happened. Don't let one or two bad reviews change your mind on this rod.

DO NOT GET!!!!!The old gen zodias is MUCH BETTER!!! I had the new 72MH and 75MH. Both are prefect when it comes to power and action. What is lacking is the sensitive! I threw moving bait and bottom contact baits when I had these two rods. I could not distinguish a bite from rocks/grass/laydowns. Even when bed fishing you can see the bite but you can’t feel the bite. For $200 you’re not getting a rod that is worth $200. Not sure what shimano did with their lower line-ups but they have been disappointing! Stay away from their lower line-ups

Good but very Brittle!Their a decent sensitive rod but extremely brittle! I had mine about a year & snapped the rod in half about 12" from the tip. I was taking very good care of rod also, I was very lightly pulling up on a snag in my kayak & rod snapped like a potato chip! I should have had to put a significant more amount of force to break it, a strong hookset would absolutely snap it in half! Save your coin get the Expride B series

Comments: I purchased the 7'2 medium Zodius casting rod because of its light weight and versatility in presenting different baits effectively. I am able to fish for the multiple species that inhabit my local lakes with this well designed rod. It was priced fairly and delivered quickly and it makes my fishing experience very enjoyable. I am very pleased with this rod and would recommend it to anyone that pursues multi species.

Comments: I purchased a 7'2MH Zodias casting rod to compare to my 7'2MH Curado casting rods... First off, I'm quite pleased with both rods... They are light, strong and very sensitive... My only negative with these rods would be the diameter of the grip and the EVA style foam, which can be slightly slick, compared to my Winn grips, which are fantastic... I have large hands and it would be nice if the grips were slightly larger and have more of a rubberized bite to the grip itself.... It's definitely not a deal breaker though, by any means... I believe both rods use the same blanks, although the zodias has a clear coat all the way up the rod, where the curado only goes up a little way, leaving the rest of the rod with a matte feeling, rather than smooth.... If you're on the fence about either of these rods, don't be... They are both fantastic overall... In fact, if they had Winn grips, they'd be absolutely perfect.....

Comments: I own the 7'5 H,7'2 MH,7'2ML BFS and 7 ML spinning. I have fallen in love with these rods very sensitive for the price. I'm slowly swapping out all 9 of my rods that I KBF with all zodias rods and you just have to pair it with shimano curados/Stradic/vanford, you will not be disappointed. Next will be a 7'6 MH Glass for cranking can't wait. Thank you Shimano and Tacklewarehouse.com for always having what I need/want.

From: Kyle: NY 9/3/23

Comments: Great rod nice fast tip and plenty back bone to get the job done. You won't be disappointed I own 4 now.

From: Chuck: quincy, ill 8/11/23

Comments: I have only had this rod for a month but during that time this rod has been phenomenal very sensitive tip which I like especially when those fish are just barely taking the bait not too much back bone but at the same time I'm using it for like Texas rigs, so there's really no need for it the 7'0 medium, heavy fast action rod is perfect for almost any type of fishing you want you can probably get away with even throwing a small frog into very thin pads with this rod and I think this one is just as good as the Expride considering I have five Experides overall a great ride. I would highly suggest this specific rod model to any serious angler who just wants to get out on the water and have some fun throwing pretty much any type of lure.

From: Noah F: Massachusetts 7/25/23

Comments: 7'9 XH Fast This is an excellent rod that is very versatile, Not a broomstick like one would think because of the 5oz max rating. I have a Diawa Tatula 150hs and the balance is very nice.(tho a bit heavy) Sensitivity is good I would say the 5oz max might be a bit of a stretch although it will bomb a 7" bootyshaker with a 10/0 1/2oz beast hook like it's nothing. It will also bomb a 4.8 Keitech with a 5/0 1/4oz flashy swimmer hook like it's nothing, which shows this rods versatility. Although it is pretty much impossible to say everyone would like this rod ( because Some people are impossible to please) I bought it to mainly throw weedless swimbaits, heavy spinnerbaits, and jigs and it does it all perfect. Another inch on the handle would be nice cause I love the slow and easy roll cast but that would be my only complaint. It's a great rod and I hope this helps someone in their decision to pull the trigger or go back to safe.

From: Josh: WV 7/13/23

Comments: I have been fishing the 7'1 H+ and it might be the greatest Zodias rod ever made!!! Swimjigs, smaller frogs  buzzbaits  spinnerbaits, it skips  it pitches  and it's my favorite rod I own (for now) and I have an arsenal of Expride and Zodias. Do not wait on this one!

From: Tom: Texas 7/9/23

Comments: I have 10 of these rods, 3 spinning and 7 casting. 1 glass rod that I use for whopper plopper. Fantastic rods. Only rods I will ever use!!

From: William: Casa Grande, Arizona 7/8/23

Comments: I was loving mine until it broke clean in half on a bad cast (the reel clicked and stopped the lure). I have NEVER broken a rod in this manner in 36 years of fishing. My rods live in rod sleeves, and get carried around / transported in a rod jockey so there's almost no possibility of it being damaged in transport.

From: JB: Tulsa 6/1/23

Comments: I have 3 of these rods. They are fantastic. You cannot beat what you get with this rod for the price. Great sensitivity, very light. This is perfect if you want to dip your toe into nicer rods. It performs like a 3-400 dollar rod.

From: Todd: Virginia 5/13/23

Comments: I have purchased numerous Zodias rods now and have a hard time looking for a rod outside of this line. Extremely lightweight, great sensitivity, tons of different models available and they look gorgeous to boot. I have had zero issues with any of them, whether casting or spinning. The only negative comment I can make is: the monocoque handle of the rod (same as my expride rods) is extremely easy to scratch. It's purely cosmetic, but as an avid tackle junky, I die inside when I tear up my gear.

From: Dustin: Texas 4/30/23

Comments: As I throw a lot of Keitech/Strike King 3.8 sized swim baits, I was looking for a dedicated rod to do so. I wanted something longer than my typical 7'3 baitcasters for increased casting distance for more water coverage, and with a taper a bit on the slow side. The 7'6 med/mod-fast Zodias seemed to check all the boxes, so I reduced one from TW to possession and I absolutely love it! It does everything I wanted. I can cast it a mile with minimal effort so it's not going to wear you down, the softer taper doesn't rip the bait out of the fishes mouth but has enough backbone at the bottom for reliable hook sets and ripping stuck baits out of the trash, and possesses the sensitivity to feel the light strikes or when your bait is fouled. It would probably make a great rod for hopping LV500's and the like as well. Perfect rod for my intended purpose.

From: Justin: Cali 4/14/23

Comments: I have the 6'10'' med heavy and its perfect for small jigs/heavy shaky head in the little rivers I love to take my Tracker into. I spool it with a Curado reel and 10lb CXX and I absolutely whack the snot out of em with my Bitsy Flip/Paca Chunk combo. FUN FUN FUN. It's a great combo for all purpose, I can throw anything from small topwater to jigs, and everything in between from cranks to spinnerbait. I like to conserve space and storage and weight on my boat and I find a GOOD all purpose rod like this is INVALUEABLE.

From: Unknown: 4/9/23

Comments: This is a review for the 7'2" Medium casting rod. I bought this rod to throw 1/2-3/4oz reaction baits and I love it! I paired it with a 7:1 reel and 15lb flurocarbon. It's been my go to for the pre spawn 23'. This rod feels light and sensitive in your hand and has a nice loading action for long casts and deep hooksets. It's the best money I've spent on a rod in a while. I highly recommend trying one out, you won't be disappointed.

From: Chris: TN 4/1/23

Comments: My son and I recently read about BFS fishing and decided to give it a try. We did some research and watched some videos. My son decided to try the Zodias Casting 7'2" Medium Light with a Curado BFS with 5 lbs test braid. There has been a learning curve casting such light baits and catching bass on such light line. The rod is not a true BFS rod but it has performed very well and the fit and finish is outstanding. We do recommend it for soft plastics BFS fishing and it also casts light crank and topwater baits well.

From: Bernie C: Spring, Tx. 3/27/23

Comments: Picked up a mhf during last years Black Friday sale. Man oh man what a nice rod! I see people mention no hook keeper but mine came with a sweet keeper factory installed so idk. It's super sensitive and will absolutely keep them pinned! Paired it with a mgl150, idk why anyone would need a combo nicer or more expensive than this. Perfection! If you are looking at the poisons or exprides but don't want to spend that much, do yourself a favor and jump on this zodius! Take the left over money and grab some mini max's and stealth blades! Lol

From: Jason : Charlotte 3/25/23

Comments: Feels well balanced and substantial. Not a bad option, if you don't want to shell out the money for a Poison Adrena. Like the Poison, it will require the purchase of Fuji EZ Keeper (also available from TW). Looking forward to using mine in the CA Delta this year. Tight Lines!

From: James: Murrieta 3/9/23

Comments: 7'2" ML is a fantastic shakey head / finesse jig rod. It'd say it's in between ML and M action. Very sensitive and light with a Curado 70 MGL. Fantastic little setup.

From: Yogib: Missouri 2/15/23

Comments: I bought the Shimano Zodias 7'5 heavy to use as an A-rig rod on the advice of the Tacticalbassin guys. This is my first Zodias rod and I must say that I am impressed with how light and responsive this rod is. The fit and finish are excellent and I even don't mind the foam grips after being used to cork. A lot of bang for the buck here, I am very happy with my Zodias and will likely get another in the future.

From: Mike: Idaho 1/22/23

Comments: I got a 72mh a month ago and WOW, I've been using it for Vaults in cold water but what I really bought it for is Bitsy Flips, GOAT of jigs, and I can't wait to use it. Light, sensitive and strong, it does an excellent hook set and loads up nicely. BUT WHERE'S THE HOOK KEEPER?!??!?!? C'mon for 200 bucks cant you spare a 25 cent hook keeper?

From: Jamie: IN 12/20/22

Comments: After a few years of putting these rods Through the seasons I can finally say my opinion. I own 8 models old ones still going strong and new ones sensitive as ever. These rods are some of the best at 200$ you can get. They're sensitive, durable, light weight & sexy. If you've been thinking about this lineup buy one. I have many other high end rods I absolutely love for specific techniques but day in and day out my lineup is Zodias.

From: Jed: California 11/27/22

Comments: Fantastic Rod . Great action that does not wear you out when you're fishing.

From: Unknown: 11/5/22

Comments: Got the lightest Zodias casting rod to throw unweighted flukes. Worked like a charm. I have a brace of Cumara rods and a few other high-end brands. I'm thinking that this is my new favorite. The tip is light enough to deal with these light baits but there is a bunch of backbone behind it.

From: Joe: 11/2/22

Comments: I am not a loyal advocate for any certain Rod company.  I'm always trying rods and finding that I have a variety of different companies for different techniques. I will say I do like stiffer rods with a softer tips. Shimano's Zodias series of rods have become one of my favorite line of rods. The price is high for what you are getting or even better. I own 3 casting models ( 7'2 MH, 7'5 MH & 7'2 H ) (7'2 Heavy) is the perfect jig rod, it is perfect for 5/16 - 1/2 oz football heads in my opinion. I've landed numerous 5lb Spotted Bass along with a few 6-8 pound Largemouth & Spotted Bass and this rod handled them all perfectly. I've even landed 10lb pike minnows as well nothing yet has seemingly made this rod underachieve! It is truly my dedicated football head, casting & pitching rod! I love it but don't feel comfortable throwing 3/4 oz on it, just doesn't feel right to me. 4/5 stars also great for T-Rigs (7'2 Medium Heavy) has been my dedicated EWG NED Rod! NO JOKE..sounds funny but with the feel & success I've had, you'd understand why. I throw a 1/4oz head size 2 paired w/ Roboworms Ned worm in the 4 or 5 inch I believe. I fish mainly in ultra clear highland reservoirs so it is a killer technique that has gotten me some beautiful fish. I pair it with the JDM Daiwa Zillion SV TW 1016HSL & 10lb Sunline FC Sniper. 5/5 stars (7'5 Medium Heavy) is my newest out of the bunch it has become a multi-purpose rod. I throw small swim baits, spinner baits, chatter baits, finesse jigs, flat sides, square bills, top water, and more. 4/5 stars Great Rods, Great Price, highly recommend!

From: Blake: Northern California 10/20/22

Comments: I feel as though this rod punches above its weight class for the price. I purchased the 7' variant for skipping jigs and throwing chatterbaits/swim jigs. Sensitivity is great with the carbon monocoque handle. The nicest thing about this rod is that it is light, light, LIGHT but still very strong. I've pulled in a 9.5lb catfish on this rod (slammed a jackhammer) with no issue. Great rod.

From: Nicholas: 10/11/22

Comments: Only had it a month but it's held up well and pulled in some nice fish. Definitely has the sensitivity I was looking for. Great rod overall.

From: Zach: Unknown 9/30/22

Comments: Love the original Zodias I bought 10 years go, It eventually broke when I didn't see my braided line wrapped around the rod tip as I was messing around with a lure. So I got another one, but the eye broke into pieces, for someunknown reason, but Shimano was kind enough to replace it because it was withing the 1 month try period. This knew model has a different butt, it's been a bit over a year now, and somehow the end of the pole is annoyingly rattling. I'm thinking they inserted a counterweight at the end of the rod, and it broke inside the rod. dissappointment.

From: Zank: Unknown 9/7/22

Comments: Medium Light Glass rod is a true performer for inshore red, and trout fishing. It doubles duty for me in freshwater also for those small square bills you can never throw effectively on other setups. The parabolic action on the medium light keep the fish pinned 100% and the butt end still has the power to turn 25+ inch redfish around and away from structure. Paired with a 150 MGL, can't be beaten.

From: Clay: Pleasant Garden, NC 8/31/22

Comments: I have the 6'10" med/heavy and its a dream for small jigs, blade baits and heavy touch baits. Very light, crisp action and sensitivity is exceptional. This and an old 6'8" Compre are good rods to have for smaller presentations. And of coarse paired with a Shimano reel and 10lb CXX as always.

From: Jamie: IN 8/12/22

Comments: Could not find any good reviews or info on the 7 2 M. So heres mine. Ive thrown berkley choppos 3/4oz, jack hammer 1/2oz with trailer AND 1/8oz jig heads with 4in Keitech easy shiners on and it has handled everything exceptionally. The rod is feather light and balances out well with a 150MGL reel. You can count pebbles with this thing when dragging a jig, extremely sensitive. Dead accurate even when throwing some of the lighter stuff. Highly recommend for just about everything, topwater, crank, blade baits, chatter baits, spinner baits, lighter jigs and texas rigs.

From: Unknown: 7/17/22

Comments: I bought this rod specifically for topwater fishing. Light, strong, and the perfect amount of flex for topwater lures up to 3/4 to 1 oz. I wouldn't use this rod for anything larger than 1 oz (1/2 to 5/8 oz is the sweet spot for this rod). I am happy with the purchase.

From: Mike: Eads, TN 4/13/22

Comments: Bought a Zodias last year for jig and worm fishing. I was super stoked about the sensitivity. This year I pull the rod out of storage, cut off the bait tied on from last year, simply tug on the line with left hand while holding rod with right and the damn thing snapped two eyes from the top. I tell you I'm not sure I've ever been so disappointed after breaking a rod. Back to the drawing board.

From: Unknown: 3/25/22

Comments: Wouldn't leave home without them. I have an assortment of Zodias Rods from 6'10" to 7'6", Med-Hvy, Hvy and Extra-Hvy. TW could even show you all the receipts because I definitely take advantage of my Military Discount. and quiet as its kept even a Zodias Spinning Rod. Find all suit the purposes I have intended from sensitivity to strength and durability.

From: DB: Frisco, TX 2/19/22

Comments: Awesome rod for the price...I got the 7'2" Medium and 7'5" Heavy....light and sensitive...worth a look if you need a rod in this price point...

From: Pham: California 12/11/21

Comments: I really like this rod. Casts easy with good distance. The rod has great feel and sensitivity. The grip is very comfortable. I would recommend it any angler looking for these qualities.

From: Unknown: 11/8/21

Comments: Picked up the 7'2" mh fast to replace my st croix legend tournament for a dedicated jig rod. My initial thoughts on the rod were it was much lighter and way less tip heavy than the legend tournament. After fishing it, the sensitivity to me felt a little bit better than the legend tournament, and the handle is much more comfortable to me for pitching jigs for long periods. The only thing I would give an upper hand on the legend tournament is it has a little bit softer tip that in my opinion would keep fish pinned better with a jig. Fortunately I haven't had many fish throw a jig with the zodias. The rod has plenty of backbone to set bigger jig hooks. Overall I'm very happy with this rod lineup. Since then I have added a 6'10" medium, 7'2" mh glass, 7'5" heavy, and a 7' light spinning rod. These rods are incredible for the price.

From: Don: Grand Rapids, MI 11/4/21

Comments: I have a 6'10 and a 7'2 in the casting rods. The 6'10 rod is my go to for jerkbaits the 7'2 for worms. I also have a spinning 7' for dropshotting.  Good rods so far, very light and sensitive.

Comments: I have both the 7'2" MH and H. These are incredibly light and sensitive rods. I've used them for everything from moving baits to pitchin and they work great. Now I just wish they had a longer handle XH!

Comments: Just started using the Zodias casting rods. I find them to be fairly light and relatively strong but with a extra measure of sensitivity. All in all fun to fish with, I have picked up a couple more and intend to purchase more yet. Way to go Shimano!!!

From: JC: Illinois 9/17/21

Comments: This rod is very lightweight, crisp, and sensitive. I would definitely recommend it.

Comments: I'm a shimano guy but and have most of the DC lineup. I had different rods but once I got my hands on one. It totally fit the way I wanted a rod to be, so I bought about 5 more and have 6 total in my arsenal. The Heavy rod is perfect and felt like a MH compared to my other rods but its just perfect. Wish they had some other Version in stock as I only have 3 7 foot MH and 3 Heavy. Might get 2 more once they are available. Best rod Ive used.

Comments: A beast of a rod, I have the 7' med/heavy and absolutely love it. It's light yet powerful. Was able to horse and boat flip a 8lb snake head from under a dock with 14lb Flouro. On a 1/2 ounce jig.

From: Unkown: Philadelphia, PA 7/23/21

Comments: These rods are seriously awesome. I've bought and sold so many rods in this price bracket and these are seriously the best. Not crazy about the handle, but you can't deny the sensitivity and quality of those rods. Amazing components, stellar sensitivity, just awesome rods

From: Unknown: 7/18/21

Comments: My new Zodias (heavy) is great for medium to large lures and very good for punching grass mats in summer here in Southern Cal.  For the money I recommend it unreservedly.

From: William: San Diego, CA 7/18/21

Comments: I've owned/used a few different rods in this $200 price point (old and new Levante, Avid X, E6X), and the Zodias is my favorite out of the lot. Not having material on the handle took a little to get used to, but the weight and sensitivity more than made up for it. Particularly the weight, I'm really impressed by how light these rods are paired with a Curado 200K. It makes flipping/pitching for long periods of time much more enjoyable, being more of a spinning rod/finesse

From: Guy: Washington 7/15/21

Comments: What an amazing piece of fishing equipment! The handle on this rod is like an "echo chamber " of sensitivity. With this rod in hand and braided line, it is nearly impossible not to detect even the slightest bite. Very Impressive!

Comments: I have a mixed review on the Zodias Line.  I have 4 of the lastest style Zodias rods, a Medium Light, Medium, Med/Hvy and a Heavy. First the good, I love the feel and the looks for these rods. I tend to use higher end gear, so my boat is primarily full of G. Loomis, ExPride, Diawa Elite, Okuma and Zodias rods. The Zodias feels on par with the more expensive rods I own. However, 3 of the 4 have broken in one way or another and I'm not tough on rods. Out of the 30+ casting rods I own, I have only broken 5, 3 were Zodias.  I broke 2 tips putting them into my rod box and had a buddy step on the handle of one and it crushed it. I know tips can break, but I very careful with my rods when storing them and was surprised how little force it took to snap the tips. The handle is completely uncalled for.  I don't have a single rod that I'd worry about stepping on the handle. So I retipped the 2 and glued and wrapped the handle on the other one.  I still use all 4, but I doubt I'd get another one. The ExPride is more expensive, but is a great, durable rod and I'm really liking the Diawa Elite Rods.  Maybe I've just had bad luck with the Zodias.

Comments: One of the best rods in the $200 range. In terms of weight and sensitivity, it blows away other rods in this price category, and when comparing my Curado rods to the Zodias, it feels like I'm going from a kitchen knife to a scalpel (no offense). It just feels so much more precise and accurate, and gives you a sense of confidence that you'll feel every rock, stump or fish bite that you encounter. The 7' MH has almost identical power, backbone and action to Abu Garcias' 7' MH Fast lineup (but much lighter and precise). Tip action is a bit stiffer than most of Loomis MH lineup. To give you a perspective of how light the rod is, my 7' MH action Zodias actually feels lighter than my 7' Medium action Curado rod. The combination of the lightweight blank and semi-micro guides provides sensitivity unmatched in all my other rods. The CI4 reel seat seems to bemade of durable metal alloys and locks in the reel in a sturdy fashion.  I was initially hesitant not having foam or cork on the butt end of the handle, but the monocoque hollow handle helps to greatly reduce overall weight and provides sufficient grip even when wet. Puts most of my other rods to shame.

Comments: I absolutely love this rod it is worth every penny.

From: Caden: 6/21/21

Comments: I wasn't sure what I was going to use this for untill I threw a half ounce spinnerbait on it. I could feel the blades thumping and it had a good enough tip to pull threw weeds and grass. The rod loads up nicely after you get hit which feels like a thump all the way down the rod into the handle. I hauled a 15 pound Northern Pike in with no problem.  Great rod, I will be adding more to my arsenal.

From: Harvey: Maine 6/20/21

Comments: Zodias MH.  Purely Amazing rod.  Just get them! Basically the same as Gloomis EX6 line but I think slightly better in all aspects.

From: Cody: Wisconsin 6/14/21

Comments: Very nice rod. The 7'5" Heavy is perfect for Carolina Rigging. Lightweight and great backbone.

From: Michael: 6/2/21

Comments: I bought 7.2 MH and 7.2 MH glass rod last year and love them. Been trying to order some more  rods though out the year. But was always sold out. Finally got 3 more rod 7.2 med lite 7.2 M 7.2 H. Great rods will be getting some more in the spinning rod. Very sensitive rod and a great back bone can boat flip without worries. Shimano hit it out of the park with these new series of Zodias rods. Lite and make an all day fishing trip enjoyable castings all day!

From: Kevin: Louisiana 5/24/21

Comments: I bought the 7'5" heavy for jig fishing. It's a great rod nice and sensitive. It's also super light and looks Awesome too. The only thing I wouldn't use it for is heavy flipping  because it has a lot of tip, which isn't a bad thing but I usually like a broom stick for flipping. Over all I would recommend it.

From: Sawyer: New York 5/12/21

Comments: Can't say enough great things about this rod. Super light weight but beefy enough for the heavy tasks. 7'2 heavy is  a beast to say the least I would def recommend the zodias line looking for a great rod.

From: Melvin: Virginia 4/30/21

Comments: Love this rod. They did such a great job with it. This is the rod I use for jigs. Couldn't be happier

From: David: 4/24/21

Comments: This rod is insane on how light and senstive they are. I purchased a 7'2 mh as well as an expride in the same length and action, compared to an expride this rod feels a little softer but overall a great rod. Its paired with a casitas for that lighter feel but everything transfers very nice down the rod. I used it on pool 7 for smallmouth and largemouth in heavy current and it is perfect when throwing mid size Swimbaits. It is honestly a terrific rod for the price.

From: Victor: Faribault, MN 4/25/21

Comments: I'm an avid bank angler and I take my Technique and equipment very seriously, I'm also very clumsy at times and can be oblivious to my surroundings especially if I get in the zone. With that said in the past couple months of owning this rod not only is it very sexy but it's tough and can take a pretty good beating I have the 6'10" MH cause I like a shorter rod for my style of fishing and this Rod will do everything even throwing bigger baits like the Buzzjet and Gantrall JR. It doesn't break a sweat infact I'm more comfortable throwing those baits on this rod than my dedicated BigBait rod. Handles Bank flipping 2lbers with ease, and can handle a slack line hookset no problem. Only Time will tell for further analysis but I love it and the price is right too. Anyways. Tight lines hope this helps!

From: Don: Tucson, AZ 4/26/21

Comments: Usually I've used Shimano curado rods but i tried the Shimano Zodias and i think this rod is great for finesse fishing because of the awesome sensitivity. One of the better rods in the 200.00 range.

From: Randal: 4/17/21

Comments: . 7'5" Heavy great rod for A rigs-california swim jigs - 3/4 to 1 ounce spinnerbaits as well as jigs.  Light fairly sensative durable and has nice action more like a fast moderate fast.

From: Jerk Boy: 4/12/21

Comments: Bought the 6'10" MH for a shorter jig rod.  I have nothing but GOOD things to say.  I have 2, Exprides and this rod matches up really well.  Great sensitivity. It is a light rod as well.  Very comfortable to use and paired with a Curado it is a great outfit.  My rod is well-constructed with zero flaws.  I would highly recommend this rod to anyone.

From: Coach: Shell Knob, MO 4/2/21

Comments: I was super excited when I purchased the Zodias 7'5 MH, and couldn't wait to get it on the water. I initially paired the rod with Shimano Tranx 200 A, but noticed line slap when casting. So, thinking it was the 17lb flouro line I was using, I switched to 15lb flouro. Same thing happened - line slap. So I switched reels and put on a Curado 150 DC and kept 15lb flouro. I'm still getting line-slap when casting. Don't know what the issue is, or how to remedy the line slap, but for $219, I guess I'll live with it. On the bright side, the rod is very light, but at this point, that's all I have to say about that...

From: Fisch: Harker Heights, TX 3/21/21

Comments: Rod is very light n awesome but i did notice a clicking noise everytime i do a hard cast. And the reel kind of moves a little. Ive tried on 2 shimano reels and its still the same. And idk if its a defect or not.

From: Andrew: Unknown 3/6/21

Comments: For $219.99, these rods are incredible! I don't know how they'll compare in sensitivity to a Gloomis, but, the construction is excellent, they feel light as a feather, and I am juiced to get this rod out on the water as my new flipping rod! The 7'5 Heavy is what I picked up, and just from testing the action it'll make a great flipping and pitching rod, and if it gets spooled with braid, it would be an outstanding frog rod.

From: Lincoln: Pool 4 Minnesota 3/4/21

Comments: Great purchase this rod is sensitive but strong..love it!!!

From: Unknown: 2/6/21

Comments: Recently purchased two of these Zodias rods. 7'2" Medium Light & 7'2" Medium. Last year I bought 3 SLX rods, two medium at 7'2" and one at 7'2" MH. These medium SLX rods are perfect in medium for 3/8oz Swim and Flipping Jigs with 4" or less trailers. They handle the weight perfect and allow for excellent casting accuracy. I then got the MH for 1/2oz spinnerbaits and love it. This led me to the Zodias rods as the look, feel and accuracy improvements were impressive and I wanted to see the next level up. The Zodias is lighter and feels stronger with the x style wrapping and my accuracy is spot on immediately. The rod is extremely well balanced and rivals that of my Falcon Cara rods.  However the butt part of the new handle is absolutely awesome.  I use this back end of the rod a lot as my tournaments get long and often are back to back. What a massive improvement for how rod butts should be built. I'll be using the medium light for shakey heads and it cast a 3/16 oz with chigger craw a country mile with ease. The medium is again perfect for 3/8oz swimbaits with plastic trailers. A+ Shimano, an absolute gem of a rod line up!

From: Morgan: Waterloo, IA 1/15/21

Comments: I now own 3 of these rods, A 7' MH spinning rod and two 7'2" casting rods, one MH and a medium that I use for fishing Ned rigs and other finesse applications. The medium action rod I bought this year at ICast and was impressed with the new handle as it feels like the rod is a lot more sensitive. Of course the other big plus on this rod is the hook keeper that they finally added to the rod. The three rods I own have never disappointed me and fish better than some of my more expensive rods. Next up for me will be the 7'2" MH Zodias glass rod for throwing chatterbaits and light crankbaits. These rods are the real deal especially at the $200 price point.

From: Stan: Columbus, GA 12/30/20

Comments: I am new to fishing and have picked up 10 or so rods this year. I have two in this line both paired with a SHIMANO Scorpion DC. This is the best combo I own or have ever fished. I never understood what a powerful rod was until I fished this. One word for this rod is power. Yes it is light, smooth and feels like a smaller rod with its precision but the power is unlike anything I have fished. The rod casts great and feels great but after the first cast all you will be thinking is how very stable and powerful the rod is. I love it and will pick up a third in Medium soon.

From: Michael: Johns Island 12/4/20

Comments:The rod is great! It feels very light, but holds well when you get a bite! I love that it's more sensitive so I can feel what I'm dragging my lure through cover, rocks, ect. I would definitely recommend getting the rod if you have not gotten one yet! You will not be disappointed! The Zodias series rods are AMAZING!

From: Chong: Saint Paul, MN 9/24/20
