Recall the glass rods NOWI have been an avid St Croix fan for most my life. But I am going to be 100% honest with you, the reel seat on this rod is terrible. And St Croix knows it. I already did a review letting you know they had to send me a new one after I was instructed to break my brand new glass mojo rip and chatter in half for warranty purposes. And so I received my new one and all be damned if I STILL can't get one reel on the reel seat. It's absolutely terrible. This is the second one and do you know what it's like to wait a month for a warranty replacement, then it finally comes and the SAME THING happened again. I love St Croix and I have had them in my hands for 20 plus years. And if they don't get this right I will NEVER spend another penny with this company again. I have loved St Croix for years but I'm done now.

love the rod, not the trigon handleI had this rod with the original handle. The rod broke (my fault) and it replaced under warranty with the same rod, but with the new trigon handle. This handle is awful. It's too small and triangle shaped. Fatigues the hand and isn't comfortable. They ruined a good rod, imo.

What is St Croix thinking…Ok so the new logo design on the blank is ok. But the handle has tightening problems. The new grips design has corners coming up already. And the absolute WORST part of this rod is how they put that tiny new trigger on it. I can’t fish with it for 5 minutes. That tiny trigger kills in between my fingers. I have no idea what St Croix was thinking when they designed this rod.

Second time aroundSo I started off with the 7 foot 2 inch RIPNCHATTER. I loved my old mojo bass glass same rod. I tried 6 different reels on this rod and not one would hold tight and the reel seat I thought was complete garbage. NEVER had this issue with none of my St Croixs ie Legend Glass and both the 7 foot 2 inch and 7 foot 4 mojo bass glass rods. St Croix needs to get rid of this new reel seat. I did wind up sending mine back to St Croix and I did get a replacement, and I will say it is a great rod it feels amazing in my hand and the guides are smooth as butter, but I won’t risk buying another one until St Croix gets it right. The reel seat needs to be replaced and this rod might be worth your hard earned money.

Rod is nice ishRod seems to handle well, blank seems good. My issue is the handle, reel doesn't stay tight in the seat. The cheap plastic screw down won't let you get it tighter without backing off from the tension. I hate feeling my baitcaster twist in my hand and hurt my wrist when i cast. I did try 3 reels on it. Thinking maybe that was the problem. AG revo winch, AG silver max, and dawia tatula elite. Highly unimpressed with this rod. Not sure what to do with as it's unusable in its current form.
