Don’t let these reviews scare youThis braid in the 18 and 22 pound sizes are in comparison to regular braids in 10 to 15 pound sizes. I use the 22LB for a minnow, shakey Heads, and wacky rigs, and the 18LB for light drop shots and Ned rigs.

Good but have to know what you're gettingit's a good braid, very slick and sensitivity is good. I see all the bad reviews and this is because this is a braid made in JDM PE, which isn't your usual rating system that we Americans are used to. It is very VERY thin in comparison to most braids you may be used to. Also these PE braids are a little more 'true' to the weigh rating whereas most other braids marketed for American market are actually a little stronger than their labels for a little leeway. It does sink though but definitely if you are used to one weight I would recommend going the next size up in this one for this one. That being said I've enjoyed it for my STRICTLY finesse applications. Knot strength has actually been pretty decent for me too

Good braid for different reason.Got it in the pink 10lb. It has nice visibility and you can honestly get good use out of it if you want to practice or learn how to tie new knots. Simply tie your preferred knot and tighten and you’re back to square one! Rinse and repeat. There’s plenty of line in the spool. Honestly this line sucks. It’s given me PTSD for using braid. I gave it tons of chances and literally lost lures (3) just simply casting sometimes. I should’ve learned my lesson the first time, but I’m a masochist it seems.. Nothing is more demoralizing than this braid. If you really like to play it risky, and live life on the edge you would still need to think twice before spooling this garbage. This is for the real adrenaline junkies who not only want to battle the fish, but battle luck and ultimately a poor decision. My recommendation is if you normally fish the 10lb, just buy the strongest rating.

trash line and no customer supportI fish 7lb d-Braid for 4 year on pro tournament in Canada and I love it! I was pump when I saw the new almight. Bought 3 7 pound spool for my finesse application, and every time I set the hook on a fish it broke. I never see something like that... I use light gear and I always use 6-7 pounds test for my finesse application and I never have this type of problem. I decide to check the line with my hand. Every time I pull the line with my hands, it broke with ease. I send an Email with a video of me braking the line with my hand to sunline and they respond to me : just use heavier line.... What a joke. Don't lose your money on this

Kept breakingDone with this stuff too. Bought the 7lb and it's garbage, snaps at connection knot just about every cast. Big fail Sunline.

Breaks too EasilyBought the braid, ... hoping it would work well with wacky worm, skipping cover claw Jackalls, ... lost 4 fish in a row. Line broke at knots and inbetween. I used the 10 pound test and was very disappointed. Also it is so thin, ... that it is difficult to see and tie knots, especially at dusk and at night. That said, ...If ... I buy again I would buy the 20 pound just to be able to see it better. I hope that Sunline will revisit this product and correct the weakness, ... it had great potential.

Not D braid, but not TRASHI’ve used the 13lb and 11lb both daily for the last 2 months and this it what I’d say about it. Starts off great but after the color starts to fade it looses some abrasion resistance at the FG knot to where you have to retie it after a day of fishing. Did my D braid last longer… yes but almost 2 months of daily use isn’t bad at all!! From my experiences casting off stuff is user error or poor knots

Will break at connection knot!If you tie a leader, it will break at the connection knot within a few cast. It cuts into your flouro or mono too easily. Lost 2 expensive lures on the cast.

FlimsyLine breaks every which way from knot tying, hooksets, and just being able to pull it apart with your hands. Don't waste your money.

TrashI love sunline, but this product is trash. I've never broke braid in my spinning rod on the hookset, but I have with this twice. That is when I'm not having it break while tying my braid to leader knot. Don't buy this product

JunkI would not recommend this line at all. It cost me a FM110 on the beach the other day from a mystery break off mid cast 6 to 8’ above my connection knot. Sunline needs to bring back Defier D-brad and remove Almight from the market.

Well…..Looks 10/10 Castability 100/10 Abrasion resistance -45/10 I gave the 7 and 16 lb 2 outings and lost an unfortunate amount of lures and fish. I’ve never had a bluegill break me off until today. This line casts amazingly but that’s all it has going. Please don’t waste your time on this.

The jury is still out, but not looking goodWas a Power Pro user for years and it did the job. Switched to Defier and loved it but only got to use it for a short time sadly. Spooled up my ned setup with 13lb Almight over the weekend since it was time for new line. First cast, the leader came clean off. No clue if it sliced off at the knot or the knot unraveled. Never in however many years of tying braid to fluoro leader have I tied a bad knot and had this happen, so it's extremely unlike this was a result of my knot. Retied and continued fishing and caught a number of fish without issue. The couple times I got snagged, the breakoff point between the 13lb Almight and 7lb Sniper was always at the leader to braid connection and not at the leader to hook or a random fray somewhere along the leader, so it required tying yet another leader which is a bit frustrating. Given how much thinner and limper this 13lb line is relative to 10lb Power Pro, it's a bit disappointing that it didn't really seem to cast any better either. Disappointed so far and may just go back to 10lb Power Pro on my ned and 15lb on my other spinning setups once the Defier on them goes bad. I have a spool of 7lb Almight on the way to test on an UL setup as that's another application where sinking braid would be helpful. Fingers crossed it'll be a better experience.

break from tying knotDisappointed with this line, was really looking forward to using this for something more finesse. I have used power pro 10lb before and that line rarely or never fails when tying knots. Even after tying FG knot the line is so thin it will cut into it self than become so thin that it will snap. I hope Sunline can look into this and make some changes. Despite the issues the line does cast good.

It’s no defier!I have had good experiences with both the defier d braid and the overwatch. I can’t say the same about the almight. Perhaps I got a bad batch but it wind knots and breaks way too much. Also it’s not quiet in the guides. If I could get my money back I would. I had the 11# pink. Already in the trash. Going back to daiwa j-braid grand.

Pretty GoodDoesn't seem to sink much faster at all thank PP SSV2 or Seguar Smackdown, but the 18.5 lb fishes great. I like the color, but it doesn't show up quite as well for me under low light as bright yellow/green lines. Pretty loud on NRX+ recoil guides, but not unbearable - it is much smoother than other ~4 carrier braids that I have used.

Had hopes were dashedNot a fan. I wanted to like it, but I pretty much hate it. I have been using this for BFS and one UL spinner. Started with the 7.2lb and it would break off just pulling my hook from the keeper. Broke off on tiny fish. Jumped to the 11lb thinking maybe the 7 was just too light. Out urban pond fishing today and it broke off three times. One was a large fish the others were not. I’m done with it. Too expensive to throw away so it may get thrown on some of my kids perch jerking rods, but definitely not on anything that might catch bigger than a 6oz fish.
