Based on the famed X-Series of reels, the Van Staal VSX2 Series Silver Bail-Less Spinning Reels feature machined 6061-T6 aluminum construction with a host of key features making them perfect for wade, kayak, or surf fishing. Assembled without a bail for the ultimate in reliable simplicity, every VSX2 Spinning Reel boasts a new one-piece body and stem design that is fully sealed to block water and contamination intrusion when angling in challenging conditions. Built tough both inside and out, the internals of the VXS2 Spinning Reel includes a titanium main shaft, stainless-steel gear system, and an oversized clutch that's now on the pinion side for instantaneous hooksets.
Whether chasing false albacore in the Northeast or any number of other saltwater and freshwater species, the VXS2 comes equipped with a smooth and powerful drag system delivering up to 25-pounds of pressure to keep hot fish under control. Additionally, a lengthened Powergrip handle and ergonomic drag knob help you stay in command during lengthy battles.
