Comments: i have the 2500 series and it's a good reel not so much quality as my revros 4000 but it works well for my finesse applications such as ned rig it's great i have caught up to a 3 pound bass with it on a ned rig worm and it handled it just fine on a cheap medium action rod , my only grip is the line capacity isn't much and all i can get to stay on the spool is braid but that's fine too all in all it's a good budget reel but if i had it to do over i'd get the revros 3000 and a good sensitive rod maybe even a medium light

Comments: This value priced reel compares well with higher priced reels . I have four of the 5000 size and use for saltwater. A great alternative to the Shimano Siena

From: Zeak: Outer Banks, NC 1/30/22

Comments: Love it. Very affordable reel that performs better than other reels I own at double the price.

Comments: Quite good for the price. I wanted a low cost durable reel for surf fishing. This is a very good value, as surf reels get hard use I prefer to buy lower cost reels and just replace them after several years, the crossfire is holding up well and should last, casts great, and has great drag. In a few years I will likely buy a replacement reel for this and would not hesitate to get another.

Comments: I'm a new fisherman and decided to go with this reel for the price. I'm no expert but it spins smoothly and I have had no problems so far. I haven't fought anything to big on it yet but I'm sure it could handle it. In my opinion, it is a great price for what you get.

Comments: Fished this reel for around 3 months, and loved it. Took very good care of it and cleaned it regularly. One day I go to cast, and the bail broke when I opened it. Really bummed, because I enjoyed the reel so much. Looking to get it fixed/replaced by Daiwa.

Comments: Just received my 250 cross fire reel it seems to be fairly well made my biggest gripe so far is that the spool doesn't hold very much line.

Comments: Bang for the buck! The quality and performance for its price is impressive.

Comments: Handle, handle knob, and frame are kinda cheap, but the guts feel decent. Shoot for the price it is easily best in its class. It has a metal spool, and it's a little heavy, but like I said for the price it's hard to beat. Great Value! If you're looking for a beater spinning reel this is the one.

Comments: Absolutely amazing reel for the price, we got the 2000 size and the smoothness for the price is unbelievably, decent+smooth drag, feels pretty solid and casts great for the price! HIGHLY recommend this reel as well as the LYN Hi-vis braided line (8-carrier braid) super smooth line and with a mono-backing it worked great!

Comments: I love this little reel. I use it for a small travel rod for when I'm flying around for work. It has all the line I really need fishing from the bank, and it's very smooth.

Comments: I bought this eel for inshore fishing. I didn't want to send a small fortune on a reel that would be used a couple times a year. I decided to give this one a try. Pretty glad I did. Handles trout and puppy drum (red fish) nicely. It has a good smooth drag and plenty of line capacity. I'm gonna get another for a backup set up. Great reel for the money.

Comments:
Overall, this is a good reel at a phenomenal price point. I purchased the 2500 size and used it with many different finesse applications on a 7' medium rod, 10# braid to 6# mono leader this spring/summer for bass. The shallow spool design is a welcomed feature and casts line off very well. All functions are responsive with little to no play. Cosmetically it comes off as "sub par" BUT the internal engineering is what makes it beautiful (Daiwa's Digigear design). With most ads today regarding reels, they brag about how many bearings there are. That doesn't always translate to a quality product. The new Crossfire has a minimal amount of bearings but is very smooth considering. It'd be unfair to compare this reel to others in my arsenal that cost 5x as much YET it has quickly become a favorite and is hard to put down. The only issue I had was the drag inconsistency and "tinny" sound. Again, for the price I wasn't surprised. I disassembled the drag, applied a LIGHT FILM of drag grease to the washers and now peels line flawlessly. As for the noise, the spool is made out of a light weight material and is something I need to get used to. With more time on the water, I may change over my older spinning reels to these and save a significant amount of $.
