TrashNever fished a daiwa before so I figured I give it a go since it was on sale. All ima say is, I see why it was on sale! They probably had a hard time getting enough people to buy it. I own about 20 rod/reel combos including baitcasters and spinning (duckett and lews) but this is the first spinning reel to ever give me problems. I've tried light braid and flourocarbon and don't get the same casting distance on this reel compared to others. I also get line twist quite often with this reel although it doesn't happen with my other combos. At first I thought it was just me until I had the same problem after changing lines. I also seen other big youtubers talking about the same issue with crazy line twist on this reel. I heard daiwa makes decent products but I'll never buy another daiwa again after this being my first experience

ExcellentI purchased my first Regal LT 1000 back in the late summer of 2024. The size and weight were the first things I noticed about this reel, along with beautiful color of this reel. I was hoping for excellent performance and man was I pleasantly surprised at the smoothness of this reel. You will be hard pressed to feel the difference in a Tatula and the Regal LT. Over the next few months using this reel for drop shots and damiki rigs, I was hooked. I now have 5 of these reels. This reels has so far handled everything for me with ease. For the money, sorry no more $200 Tatulas for this guy!

Good cheap reelSo I bought a 1000 for using tiny crappie jigs. And I’m very happy with it. I didn’t expect much from it. But it surprised me and it’s a joy to fish with. Caught a ton of crappie on it and some bass and other bycatch and the reel is still unbothered. I’m on here buying another one, but wanted to give you guys a review.

Best 70 dollar spinning reel ive usedI normally always buy higher end spinning reels, specifically lews. But I've long been a fan of Daiwas casting reels and I can safely say this spinning reel is amazing and I honestly prefer it over my 150 dollar reels. Once you use this you'll realize this reel can't be beat for the price.

great for the priceI had the older model and i liked it . i bought this new one 2500 size and i love it the drag is smoother than the last one. i like it more that my shimano ultegra 3000 its lighter and just as smooth. i really like the implementation of the T handle on the 2500 i prefer it over the smaller grip. such a great reel for 70 bucks.
