Equipped with a 32-millimeter ported aluminum spool with integrated Knot Slot feature for seamless line attachment, the Accel RX Casting Reels boast a 4+1 double-shielded stainless bearing system and precision-cut, high-strength, solid-brass gears for a buttery-smooth feel. Amazing reel for the price!This reel is an amazing reel, especially at the price point. Casts very easy, I even use it to cast some Micro 1/8oz jigs and does it well. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is #1. No clicker on the drag star when setting the drag, which I like. And #2. It’s quite loud when you engage the handle after casting, the push button comes back up with a very loud click.

Good not greatFor the price it is a good reel but not great. If you are using cheaper line that has more memory it tends to slinky more frequently especially if you are using a lute that is 1/4 oz or lighter. With lures 3/8 or heavier I generally haven’t had a problem with line overrunning. The biggest thing though is the drag. You have to really tighten the drag down or else bass will be able to pull line pretty easily. I had a fish in that ended not even being 2 lbs and I didn’t have the drag cranked down real tight and it easily pulled line from me. Honestly I would just save up $100 more dollars and get the Lews Custom Gen 3.

No tension.I was excited to try this reel since it had good reviews and it’s basically a contender against the SLX around the same price point. I would say this one is a lot lighter. It still feels janky like the slx. The materials does feel a bit cheap especially the drag (no clicks and there’s not much room to give). However, I do like that it wasn’t as heavy as the slx. However, my biggest issue was the drag/tension. I spooled 50lb power pro braid on it. I tightened the drag all the way (didn’t open the spool release button) , tightened the spool tensioner as well but there was barely any tension. I pulled line out and there was barely any tension. Not good. Can’t hook-set anything. I don’t know if I got a dud or not but I put the reel back in the box and will be returning.

Lews Accel RXGreat reel for the budget out of box is a little less smooth than anticipated but after all it has five bearings. After unboxing the reel and noticing the slight unsmoothness I greased and oiled it and it has had zero problems. Casts well and is amazing for the price point. Cannot comment on drag feel yet as I only catch dinks. Overall great reel for the price and would definitely recommend.
