Comments: FYI!!!!!! This rod will not handle a 6th sense dd500 much less a Strike King 10xd Rod snapped on first cast attempt with the dd500 and it weighs less than the 10xd! Do yourself a favor and research before you buy a rod advertised to handle large crankbaits!

Comments: I wanted a somewhat middle tier $$ rod for when I take my cousins/family fishing on the bank versus in my boat. Since I’m a big shimano guy, I naturally went to the curado, intenza, and the new loomis GCX, as well as this. It’s lighter than the GCX by a mile (the XD3 rod is as that’s what I have) but the tip/action on the GCX is phenomenal, but for 100$ less, I can get used to the xd3. The curado and intenza weren’t even close, both returned. But for under 5oz rod, priced at 150$?? here’s my $$ ! Lightweight, parabolic bend is perfect for the whichever series rod/crank size you’re throwing! Kept fish pinned all weekend long as I was mainly deep diving as it’s almost fall transition and temps are dropping @ night which dropped out local lakes temp by almost 10 degrees! Trust me, grab one!

Comments: the Guides on these rods for some reason seem to sheer the line after just a hour or so of fishing, I have the xd6 and xd7.

Comments: I have the 6XD...handles that size well, haven't tried in 8xd size. Excellent for any moving baits.

Comments: These rods are fantastic. Great actions for all kinds of cranking and very sensitive and lightweight, unlike comparable glass/composite rods. I'm a fan!
