Zodias Performance on a Sellus BudgetThe 2026 Sellus redesign is hands down the biggest leap in quality I’ve seen at this price point. The inclusion of DIAFLASH technology is the game changer here; you can actually feel the added rigidity in the butt section, which translates to massive confidence during hook sets and zero blank-twist when winching fish out of cover. The sensitivity is surprisingly crisp for a sub $70 rod it transmits bottom composition much better than the previous generation. Beyond performance, the aesthetics are top-notch. The hybrid cork/EVA grips and the new metal locking nut give it a premium, JDM-inspired look that belongs on a much more expensive setup. Whether you're a weekend warrior or looking for a high-quality "truck rod" that performs like a $150 blank, this is it. Shimano absolutely knocked this one out of the park!
