Comments: I bought the 3513 Randy Howell Midwest finesse jig in multiple weights for Ned baits. This mold tested my patience. I learned early on especially with the lighter heads that the hook is loose in the lead. It's because there is no lead on the shank of the hook. The best way to beat this is to let the mold sit for a while to set up better and don't use the hook to snap it off. I used 2 sets of pliers. Over all a decent mold but it would be nice to have lead on the shank.

Comments: Helpful hints. Use a candle to smoke the mold cavities. The carbon residue slicks the cavity. I preheat the mold by placing it on the lead pot as it heats up. Make a dummy pour with no hooks or wire. That insures the mold is hot enough. If you get a bad pour just use pliers to dip just far enough in the lead pot to melt and try again.

Comments: Pouring hint: Heat hooks in open mold with hot air gun. Lead will flow better over hooks to form keeper.

Comments: Good molds, just have a learning curve. Make sure to use a propane torch to heat your Mold fully before pouring.

Comments: You guys that are getting incomplete pours, double check you are "smoking" ur molds before using and that ur lead and mold is at the proper temperature.

Comments: poor quality mold. Grooves for wire keeper too narrow. Had to use dremel to make grooves wider. Wire forms would not fit and I had to bend every one to get some baits. Threw over 75% away. Poor QA at Do It on this one.

Comments: In remark about the wire keeper not pouring "review" (you ADD) a wire keeper to the mold, you don't pour it! HAHA. good mold, just wish the pouring hole wasn't so narrow.

Comments: Love Do-It molds, but this one has a problem in that the wire keeper doesn't pour. So you end up with a mold that has no part to hold the plastic bait.

Comments: I love the do-it molds product line. Gives you the ability to customize baits that you like but want it more personized to a specific lake/conditions. Love the swimjig mold!!!
