Why don't you have one already?I hate to say it, but i cant believe this rod is priced so low. Looks stunning in person, loads up beautifully, pretty good sensitivity. I seen others noted the rod wasnt very sensitive in other reviews, but i just dont see it. Used it mainly for jigs & haven't felt like it's lacking at all. Is it the MOST sensitive rod? Of course not, but nothing to turn your nose to. The only thing i will say that caught me off guard was how thin of a blank the heavy action was. Not a bad thing at all, just used to heavy action rods being rather large in diameter of the blank.

Comments: Decent rod especially for the price. Bait keeper is really low on the handle which is sometimes annoying but is what it is. I have rods that are way more expensive, but of course, this rod actually caught my all time PB Largie. 9.25lbs (Haha if you don't believe me, search "Fish of a Lifetime" on the Where We Wild YouTube Channel.) Lol, in fact, I seem to always get bit more when using this rod, hilarious. It's pretty much my lucky rod now. If you need an extra rod and don't want to spend a lot of money, this gets it done for sure.

From: Richie: Castaic Lake, California 11/21/22

Comments: Bought these last year. Holding up ok. Definitely not the most sensitive compared to my St. Croix mojo bass. Is very light and fragile. Overall 6/10

From: RJ: Ohio 7/18/22

Comments: i bought 2 of these about 2 years ago. all i can say is they have done good for me. very good all around rod that stays strong and balanced. Caught many fish and have not had a problem at all. definitely recomend to anyone new to fishing or on a budget for a nice rod

From: Logan: California 7/17/22

Comments: Bought 3 at Christmas time and just finished a week on Lake Guntersville bass fishing. These rods performed excellent. Could feel the bass hit my creature baits when I was dragging them through the grass. Quality rods for a great price.

From: Kirk: Illinois 5/19/22

Comments: Not lucky with those rod's recently, got 2 rods both came defective in the guides, one came with the guide all bent destroyed and was not a transportation issue came like that from the manufacturer which is a shame, im returning back to tackle warehouse and expect to receive a good rod now

From: Rafa: Florida 4/21/22

Comments: great rod for the money, caught several 4+ pound bass and some 20 inch trout. i use the 73MH for everything from jigs to topwater to small swimbaits to cranks

From: PK: Idaho 2/16/22

Comments: Good rod for the $! Definitely not the most sensitive rod, just tried it out in the pool, I could not feel the blades turning on the spinnerbait. With that said, this rod is supper light and feels great in your hand. This one will probably become my top water rod& possibly a lighter action one would be a good jerkbait rod as well.

From: Unknown: Greenville, SC 1/25/22

Comments: I have 5 of these rods, I bought a 66m and a 66mh about a year and half or 2 years ago. I fish kayak tournaments and I'm pretty rough on my rods to say the least. I absolutely love these rods! They're light and durable and easy on the wallet. I've added 2x 70h and another 66mh. Just a little heads up... They're a little bit softer than typical rods. The mh is more on the medium side and the heavy is more on the mh side. One more thing.. as much as I love these rods, I do NOT like the spinning rods of these.

From: Derek: West Virginia 12/14/21

Comments: LOVE this rod. 7.3 MH is light but has the backbone to handle the big ones.Great for flipping and jigging. One of my favorites. You can not go wrong at this price.

From: Ollie: Virginia 12/5/21

Comments: For 55 dollars you will not find a better rod. The 7'3 medium heavy makes an excellent chatterbait/underspin rod. It is also sensitive enough to fish bottom baits such as jigs and Texas rigs. I will be buying more of these in the future, I just hope daiwa doesn't discontinue these rods.

From: Jackson: Washington 8/3/21

Comments: Great rods for the money. I have a 7'm and 2 7'3"mh. Thought the 7' would be a good spinnerbait rod but too soft I know use it for light worms. The 7'3"s are very versatile i throw chatterbaits buzzbaits squarebills and texas rigs on em they definitely fish above there price point.

From: George: Louisiana 6/30/21

Comments: I have the 7 "3 med Heavy and I love it, good strength as well as sensitivity. Absolutely cannot beat this rod for the price. It's comparable to $100-200 rods I have

From: Luke: Yorba Linda, CA 4/26/21

Comments: I love this rod. Punches above it's weight class for sure.not gonna lie she's not the most sensitive but for this class of rod it's hands down the best your going to get.also for the price I'm not afraid to really yank some big girl out of the water and it throws baits up to an ounce and a half it's a great beater

From: Joe: Ny 2/27/21

Comments: I have both the Medium (jerk baits and top water treble baits) and Heavy (frogs and t-rigs and jigs) models.  It astounds me that you can buy this rod at the same price point as an Ugly Stik. You cannot beat this rod for $55.  The 7ft heavy is a perfect frog rod, strong backbone but lightweight enough it does not wear you out walking a frog all day.

From: Bill: Florida 1/27/21

Comments: I have been using the Arid X 7' Medium reel for almost a year now and it has been great.  Ive caught two 5s and some 4s on it and it has always head up.  i throw anything from small finesse things like neds, shakey heads, small swim baits to underspins and 1/2 wobble heads and the rod can do it all.  great sensitivity and extremely durable. I take this rod with me to work so its just in the work truck and pulled out for after work bank fishing and when im home on the weekends, it's in my hand when im on the boat.  would highly recommend this rod.

From: Brian: San Luis Obispo, CA 12/11/20

Comments: The 7'3" (MH) is the best all around rod I own. It has enough forgiveness in the tip section to not pull moving baits away from the fish, but it has enough midsection and backbone to fish heavier slow baits. This rod has killed it with spinnerbaits and chatter baits for me this year, as well as being the best jig rod I own. The 7'3" even tosses Huddleston 68s with ease. Paired with a Diawa cc80 it has become the best combo I own. Get one and you won't be disappointed.

From: Justin: Kentucky 12/2/20

Comments: This rod is awesome for the money. Light weight, good grips. Best bang for your buck.

From: T: Fresno, CA 10/27/20

Comments: One of my favorite baitcaster rods, not the most sensitive, but still incredibly sensitive for $55. I use this for all my moving baits and I will still drag a jig on these occasionally. Can't recommend these enough. Wish they had a 7'3 heavy.

From: Jack: Freeport 9/16/20

Comments: I ordered the 7'3 MH a few months ago, it came in the mail last weekend. I gave it the one-week trial, and it has performed way beyond my expectations. This was my first baitcaster, making it the only one I own by default. I throw everything from senkos to swimbaits on it, no complaints so far. It really excels as a jig rod and works nicely for frogs/topwater as well. All in all, it's well worth the $55 dollar price tag.

From: Carson: Connecticut 7/9/20

Comments: Garbage. It was sent to me from tw with a missing guide insert, used it for a few mins and more of the inserts I noticed were chipped and sliced through 50# braid like butter.. I now have 4 Guide inserts missing and obviously the guides with no inserts continue to fray my line. Worst part is I emailed tackle warehouse and they just ignored my message. Also sent be a reel that was already scuffed up. Didn't say nothing to me about that either

From: Spencer: Ontario  5/14/20

Comments: I was throwing a swimjig, ending up catching a 6lb bass, and a 4lb later on that week on the 7'3 MH, I am happy I got this rod, to me to order the 7ft Heavy!!!!!

From: Unknown: 5/30/20

Comments: Very good rod only complaint is that the reel seat became loose don't know if it is just mine or not but other then that works great landed a 6 pounder on the 7ft medium rod from a shore in the weeds.

From: Unknown: 5/11/20

Comments: I've had the same 7'3 MHF aird x rod since March 2016. Learned to throw baitcasters on it, Abused it horribly for years, 2018 boat flipped a 5.5 pounder and 12lb mono. It's now March 2020 and I still use it to this day. I'm now a product specialist and I still only own 3 of these rods. From bluegill fishing to walleye fishing, this and the Daiwa KAGE rods are my top picks.

From: J: Illinois 3/29/20

Comments: I bought this rod thinking I wouldn't like it at first however I was blown away. I got the 7ft medium fast action for originally spinnerbaits but I realized it was not for that. It is really good for shakey heads, topwater, small crankbaits, and jerkbait and has enough backbone to hold a fish pinned despite the lighter power rod.

From: Unknown: 2/25/20

Comments: My biggest fear about these rods is Daiwa will stop making them. I absolutely love these rods. I love them so much that after buying my first one I bought 10 more. I have never owned a $200+ rod and I can't imagine one being better than these. This says to me that you can still buy quality at a reasonable price. I know Daiwa is in the business of making a profit, but this tells me all the other guys are ripping everyone off with their high prices rods.

From: Ed: South Carolina 2/14/20

Comments: I love this rod, I bought the 7 ft medium fast to cast small lures further. It works great. These rods look and feel great and very sensitive. If you hike to secret fishing locations these are inexpensive rods with great action and if you damage one while hiking it isn't going to break the bank.

From: Unknown: 1/29/20

Comments: You seriously will not find a better rod at this $55 price point. I'm in awe Daiwa sells these rods at such a price. The quality, sensitivity, weight equal that of a $150 rod. They do have a bit more parabolic bend compared to most. So know that going in. Instead of a typical M/H you may want a heavy for what you have in fishing mind. Also makes for the worlds best rods to hand out to those in your boat that dont have their own. I say hurry and get yours before they discontinue. These truly are a gift from daiwa, I'm betting an introduction to their product to have you come back. Highly recommend.

From: Dean: Henderson, NV 1/22/20

Comments: You cant beat these for $55. Quality and feel is on par with other $100-150 rods in my arsenal. Will definitely be buying more.

From: Matt: Iowa 10/27/19

Comments: I bought this rod about 4 months ago. I got the medium heavy 7 3 and I have to say that I love it. I use it for worm and jig fishing and I have yet to have any trouble with the rod. It is built very good and very good to look at. I intend to pick me up a couple more in the near future. Tackle warehouse has the best selection and price for any thing that you need. Been buying all my fishing reels and rods from these guys for the last 22 years. They are the best.

From: William - Tennessee 8/15/19

Comments: My first day fishing with them I caught 3 small mouth. The Medium Heavy version worked well in fighting them in tough current. This rod is pretty sensitive and lightweight for its price. Has good backbone too. I would recommend this rod for sure. Plan on buying a Heavy version for frogging and flipping pads. Thanks Daiwa!

From: Alec: Michigan 7/31/19

Comments: I bought two rods at the same time. I bought a Duckett Triad 7'3" MH and a Daiwa Arid X 7'3" MH. I cant begin to describe how I wish I had just bought two Daiwa rods instead. This $55 rod is hands down better in every way. Sensitive, nice tip section, with backbone like a freight train. I told my wife today while we were fishing i wish the triad would break so i could justify buying another Daiwa. I dont mean to trash on Duckett they make great rods but for the money I spent, the Daiwa was just a flat out fishing stick. I have fished with it for a coupke of trips now so cant speak for its durability to much, but I really dont see it as being an issue. Pitched soft plastics and jigs with it in heavy brush piles and grass and could easily tell the diiference between bites and structure. Hook set under these conditions was fantastic. Threw some big worms with the rod and the castability and accuracy was excellent. Best money ive spent on a rod in awhile.

From: Pete: 7/7/19

Comments: I honestly don't know why these rods sell. So cheap - their amazing rods - I own 2 of them - their very light - very strong - the 7'medium is amazing for spy baits .. love the X wrap 1/4 way up rod - the guides are straight - epoxy is spot on - I prefer these over the Dobyns colt .. why so cheap ? I have no idea - feels and fishes like a $150 rod.

From: Dean: Las Vegas, NV 2/13/19

Comments: I got the 7ft MHF. Paired it with a Diawa Tatula SV TW 6:3. This is an awesome rod. This is my first 7ft rod, my other ones are a Berkley Cherrywood 6' 6" and Lew's Speed Stik 6' 10". I can tell there's some differences inherent in the longer rod - I can definitely cast with more accuracy and it's very sensitive. Only had it a couple days so time will tell if it stands up to the fishing regime. Was going to get a St Croix Mojo Bass rod, but I opted for this one because of the more affordable price. Overall I am very impressed with it and I would definitely recommend it.

From: Unknown: 5/18/19

Comments: I bought this Rod about 3 months ago I absolutely love it one of my favorite rods excellent rod for the price bought it and a Abu Garcia Vengeance I would take the Vengeance back and buy another one of these in a minute I have landed several fish on this rod but nothing over about 3 and 1/2 lb but going to Santee Cooper for bass tournament in the end of April so I'm looking forward to pulling in a 6 lb Plus but seriously for the money this is a excellent rod probably one of my favorite rods I own definitely recommend it for anybody on a budget this Rod is definitely worth the money you won't be disappointed my opinion I think it is one of the best rods on the market for the price or at least that I have found

Comments: These rods are amazing for only $60 Caught many bass - never an issue - very nice fit & finish - straight guides - correct epoxy - I find it amazing they only sell for $60 - the 7' medium makes for a perfect spy bait rod

From: Dean - Las Vegas, NV 2/15/19

Comments: Bought this rod in 7ft model in MH and H action last year in january so this is a year review. I have caught 50+ bass on these rods through the year. These rods are so overlooked for the price. I paired both of them with fuego reels and they have not failed me yet. Biggest bass was just over 6 pounds on the MH rod with a bladed jig. You can't beat this rod for the price point. I have also beat these rods up. Back of the truck, in the rain, in the cold, they sat in my truck overnight while it was raining a few times because i didn't check the weather. These rods are amazing for the price. I also have one thats a medium action 7'2" spinning rod that i paired with a Revros 2500 and i havent had a single problem from any of them (reels and rods). If you want a good budget rod, this is a great option.

From: Chad  1/24/19

Comments: Bought this rod for frog and small glide baits... It preforms like no other, this rod has smooth ceramic guides and plenty of power to bring in big fish, I caught a 7 pound bass with weeds and this rod handled like a champ, and with throwing small glide baits, the rod has a great bend to it but still has good back bone.... 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a good rod.

From: Moose: Illinois 12/9/18

Comments: Excellent rod for the money. I/ve punched pads and frogged with it. Recently yarded a 5lber out of the pads with ease. This rod also doubles as my jig rod for salmon and works great!

From: Mark - Western Washington 9/10/18

Comments: Awesome Rods for the price, very sensitive and light. Got the 6' 6" Medium Fast, cast weightless senkos and flukes with ease! Very sharp looking rods as well. Pulled in a skinny 4lber on my first outting, we'll see if it stands the test of time. For now 10/10. Paired with a Lew's Speed Spool LFS

From: Austin: Texas 9/5/18

Comments: Got the 7' Med and was expecting it to be a decent rod but was blown away. Its lightweight, sensitive, I LOVE IT!! 100% the best rod for the price. Thank you Daiwa!!

From: Maddox: Indiana 7/30/18

Comments: Awesome rods!  Have a casting and spinning of this version, both 7' Med Heavy.  Caught plenty of bass and they are holding strong after over 2 years.  Spinning version for wacky and drop shot, use the casting for small soft jerk baits, Carolina rig, Texas rig, light jigs.  Can't beat these with that price tag

From: Ron: NC 7/4/18

Comments: I bought a 7' MH last year and I use it for jigs mainly. Right away I thought I got sent the wrong rod because of how thin and light it is, but it has caught some pretty solid fish, I would definitely look into buying one! Great for the price.

From: Bobby: Illinois 6/28/18

Comments: I bought the 7 foot Medium Heavy and the 7 foot Heavy and these are the best rods I've used when you factor in the price. These rods make amazing "Hog Seeker" style of rods, throwing big line, big baits, and powering out big fish. They also make amazing finesse rods, throwing your jigs and worms along with the Medium Spinning works great for finesse applications. They're real durable too, I've banged the tip off if doorways, boat docks, and trees casting and moving these rods and mine are still in amazing condition. 22 out of 10!!! I would definitely recommend these rods. Just wish they came in more options

From: Grant: Paris Illinois 6/3/18

Comments: (7ft Heavy) Would recomend this rod to anyone with a tight budget or someone who dosent want to spend a boatload of money on a good rod. The first weekend if owning ths rod i caught a 9 lb and 6lb largemouth. In the next couple of months of owning this rod I caught multiple fish over 4 lbs and the rod handled all of the fish extremely well. This rod is one of my favorites and will 100% be buying another.

From: Jake Ellis: Columbia, SC 5/14/18

Comments: These are the best casting rods in this price range by far. They're sensitive, light, and are balanced well.Way better than the abu garcia veangance, which is more popular.

From: Unkonwn 3/1/18

Comments: This is a very sensitive rod. I have a 7'3 MH and a 7' Heavy. Both of them are amazing. Im very pleased with them so far.

From: Chad 2/28/18

Comments: I have had this rod for a little while now, and have gotten to use it some. My first impression on it was that it was EXTREMELY light for a 7' rod. I got the MedHvy and it does seem to run a little on the flimsier side, but it handles bass like a beast. Not to mention the sensitivity. This is more sensitive than any other rod I own, and it is MUCH cheaper than all of them. The guides seem good, but they are very large, especially the tip. The rod has the feel of a much more expensive rod than it is and if you are thinking about buying it, definitely do.

From: Randy: Lufkin, Tx 1/31/18

Comments: Good rod. Tip insert pops out all the time, had to replace the tip but other than that I really enjoyed using the rod.

From: Travis: Illinois 1/12/18

Comments: Best rod for the money have the 7 medium, 7 heavy, and 7,3 medium heavy all funaminal rods. All have held up and WILL take a beating.

From: Hunter: winfield,ks 12/27/17

Comments: I feel that the 7' M is somewhat on the light side and that it's not quite as fast of a tip as I thought it would be. I originally got this rod for Texas-rigged weightless Senkos but it turns out that it doesn't always seem to have the power to set the hook well, even with the light-wire Owner Twistlocks designed for Senkos. That said, 99% of the time I'm using this rod, it's out of a kayak, which can be difficult to get a powerful hookset out of. You might not run into these issues on a real boat or off the bank. That said, as long as your reel and line are up for it, the 7' M will launch 1/4oz and 3/8oz jerkbaits a long way. 5/8oz jerkbaits practically go over the horizon. Haven't really gotten to test them too much in the heat of the summer other than on some farm ponds filled with really stupid fish, but I really like how the rod responds when popping them. Not so mushy like a true crankbait rod such that you get no actual pop, but not so stiff that you end up just pulling the jerkbait through the water without a pop.All in all pretty happy, although a rating of "Mag Medium-Light" or something might be more appropriate.

From: Daniel: Harrisonburg, VA 8/21/17

Comments: Bought the 7 ft heavy to use as a frog rod. Plenty of backbone and sensitivity. First night out with it, landed a 6 & 1/2 pound largemouth. Rod handled it like a champ. I would definitely buy one of these again.

From: Jesse: Central New York 8/5/17

Comments: I picked this rod up almost 3 months ago and its hands down the best sub $50 rod on the market. I have used this rod to throw everything from a jig to a whopper plopper. This rod can take some abuse. I had a Kast King Speed Demon reel paired with this rod that had multiple malfunctions. There was at least 5 times the reel failed me and it didn't snap the rod. Simply amazed at the durability, sensitivity, and overall construction of this rod. I cannot speak to the issues that other people have noted but I would recommend this rod to anyone. Truly a steal!

From: Tyler - North Carolina 7/24/17

Comments: Bought the 7' to go with a black max and it's the best and most reliable setup I've ever had. The Rods are very affordable and it has been through a year of everything. Handles big bass with ease and sensitive enough for smaller bass. Just bought a 7'3 for frog & toowater and love it to death also. Will continue to buy these amazing rods. 10/10 No Cons

Comments: It has the look, sensitivity, backbone, tip and it loads up very nicely. It's hard to believe that this is a $55 dollar rod. I have the 7' heavy and it's a perfect jig, worm and frog rod.

From: Adam: Eunice, Louisiana 6/11/17

Comments: I bought two of these rods they are great I bought one for swim jigs sadly yesterday when I was fishing I attempted to cast and it snapped in half. Thankfully I have two. I guess I just got a rod that had something wrong with it when it was made but this rod is pretty good in my opinion.

From: Collin: Arkansas 5/26/17

Comments: It has the look, the sensitivity, and the backbone. My very first fish on this rod (7"H) was a 5.6 lb largemouth slow rolling a chatterbait. When this fish dove this rod was able to handle the fish with little stress while keeping the hook pinned. Will be buying a few more of these rods very soon Excellent work Daiwa.

From: kushpappy: durham nc 4/13/17

Comments: I bought 4 of theses rods so people who came on my boat wouldn't mess with my " good " rods! I was shocked how well balanced and sensitive these rods turned out to be! The past three trips, I've found myself using the rods for pitching instead of my good or should I say way more expensive rods! For 55 bucks, you can't beat this deal!

From: Steve: Minneola 1/17/17

Comments: Great rod! I use it for froging, flipping, and is so sensitive I even throw senkos. This rod does it all. It looks awsome and is affordable.

From: David: Miami, Florida 1/17/17

Comments: I bought 4 of these rods so people getting on my boat wouldn't mess with my good rods! I was shocked at the quality of these rods. They are well balanced and sensitive. For 50 bucks these rods are hard to beat. Nice backbone and an active tip, hard to beat for and everyday rod. they really are hard to put down!

From: Steve: Florida 1/3/17

Comments: I got this rod with my Daiwa Laguna spinning reel last week & its smooth. The rod is strong & sensitive which is great for my finesse worm applications. So far so good & I caught a nice 3lber the first day out with it on a 4" watermelon senko! The price point is great & so is the rod! If my wife would let me I'd buy another one!

From: Steve: IN 11/9/16

Comments: This rod is amazing, I honestly would put this rod in the 100-200 dollar price range, you feel the smallest bits of bites from any size fish, I wish the guides were a bit smaller but other than that this rod is excellent, go pick one up today

From: Jay: Saint Cloud, FL 7/17/16

Comments: Incredible deal for the price. This rod could easily be priced in the 200+ range. Perfect ratio of tip/backbone. The 7H is plenty powerful to pull big fish out of cover. I've caught 8 lbers in the flooded willows with this thing & it performed flawlessly.

Comments: This rod is amazing! and for 55 bucks? You cant beat it!! I bought the 7' heavy for bigger jigs and punching with 50lb braid, and I must say this rod performs flawlessly. Super light and sensitive, I can feel the lightest bites on those tough days when they like to bury themselves in lay downs and thick weeds. I would highly recommend this rod, and if your the broke tournament college kid like myself this rod is defiantly a go to.

Comments: This rod is awesome looking! Has a super cool dark orange/yellow carbon fiber color & feels very study & well made. (I don't think Daiwa can make a bad rod). Pick one of these up, it's a great deal, never had a problem with it!
