The blank tech is greatThe blank tech brought down from the Elite line feels great, I know there's some debate about the guide material, but so far I've been fishing braid on the 6'10 L for 4 months with absolutely zero issue.

Respectfully disagree with other reviewerI really like the new Diawa Tatula Cork rods. I own 2 of the older Tatula full grip cork rods and for what I use them for they are great. However, I do prefer the new rods, specifically the split cork grips and smaller front grip/area, for most other techniques that I do 90% of the time. They are more comfortable to me in hand. To each their own I suppose, as this was the area the other user didn't like. My wife tells me constantly, that I'm an idiot; so grain of salt :p Quality wise(finish, cork/grips, guide set, etc), they seem similar to the older version Tatula full grip cork rods. These new rods seem ever so slightly lighter and more sensitive. Compared to the cheaper Tatula XT rods(I have 3 of those), these are a significant(IMO) improvement in feel/quality, balance etc... Of course at a higher price point. I own 9 Shimano Exprides(for various techniques), and those to me are my "really nice/Cadillac rods". Those are the primary rods I fish. but I like to keep backup rigs on deck with these new Diawa cork rods. Time will tell how they hold up. The old Tatula XT were tanks. To me, these new cork rods seem like a nice compromise in price and performance, and get close enough to my Exprides in feel/quality, to justify the price difference $150 vs 100(old tatula XT) for my backup/2nd rods on deck. The other user is certainly entitled to his opinion. I've returned rods as well. St. Croix Legend Tournament comes to mind, as I just didn't like the feel of it for the $. The great thing about Tackle Warehouse for me is the ability to return for basically free, gear you don't get along with.

Extremely dissapointed, die-hard daiwa fanHello, I own the both the original FULL cork Daiwa Tatula casting rod and the new Daiwa Tatula Cork Casting Rod. The OLD Tatula Casting rod (FULL CORK Handle) grip when held is MUCH better than these new cork series. The new cork series feels much cheaper at the grip than the originals. ALSO! If you do your due diligence/homework, you will see that the old full cork tatula casting rod series IS essentially the Kage series which is priced at 199$. I am a true die-hard daiwa fan, You buy what you get, These new cork series was a form of marketing for sale purposes. I will be returning the rod.
