Overview

Delivering intense sensitivity and noticeable weight reduction without compromising on durability, the Daiwa Presso Air Casting Rods takes your favorite ultralight and BFS techniques to the next level. Built on an X45 graphite blank using HVF Nanoplus resin control technology, increased graphite density is achieved equating to accurate casts with light lures. Aesthetically, the Presso Air has a beautiful wood reel seat paired with a premium cork handle, offering a lightweight grip for anglers that’s easy on the eyes.

Lined with Fuji K guides and alconite rings, the 70 degree angle guide design offers a de-tangling system and reduces wind knots, delivering 80% greater compression strength and 20% lighter than aluminum oxide guides. Complete with MegaTop solid carbon tips to maximize the transfer of casting energy and enhance subtle bite detection, the Daiwa Presso Air Casting Rods are a dependable option for launching light baits into big fish territory.

- Fuji K guides with alconite rings
- HVP Nanoplus technology

Fishing on the edge!I fish the backwaters of the Texas gulf coast, primarily in search of speckled trout but hooking up with a bulldog redfish along the way. I fish the 6'10" model of the Presso on the ragged edge of what a true BFS rod can handle........but I like the challenge. Tangled with a few gator trout and it was touch & go for awhile but they came to hand. With a Daiwa Gekkabijin Air, the combo casts light baits the distances open saltwater fishing requires.....got to cover water out there. Great little rod but not recommended for the faint of heart that fish where saltwater bruisers roam.

GreatI got the 6’8 ver for the extra backbone just in case. Apparently the smaller one can still handle small mouth fights just fine though. Feels nice in hand, super light; great overall.

FantasticI bought this rod for some BFS fishing and it has been fantastic! I have the 6'8" version and it performs better than I expected! It is also very light! All my other rods feel heavy and stiff when switching directly from this one.

Great rod!!I recently purchased this to pair with a Calcutta conquest BFS for trout fishing and this rod was super sensitive, casted light lures a very good distance and had plenty of backbone to bring in the fish, and it is a sweet looking rod!
