Comments: A Finely made reel that has no problem pulling in trophy snook or smaller tarpon. Cast farther than you'll ever need to as well. As I stated in the 300 Lexa review, these daiwa's sometimes have an issue with the clutch catching after a cast. The inside of the reel needs to be lubricated to fix this, and the reel will work just fine. Well worth the higher price tag.

Comments: This is an amazing reel. I use it for casting lures in the surf. I mount it on either my Dobyns Fury Swimbait rod or a modified (handle shortened so I can roll cast) light surf rod. Both combos send salt water lures from half an ounce up to 3 ounces out as far as I need. The reel is easy to tune to prevent backlash, reels in smooth and has a ton of power to reel in long casts of heavy lures again and again without getting me tired. When a fish is on, there is also plenty of power to reel them in. I normally keep a Tatula 200 on my swim bait rod, but may leave this on just for the heck of it to see how it works in fresh water.
