Overview
If you need a compact reel that excels with lighter lines and smaller lures, the Daiwa Tatula SV TW 70 Casting Reel is a perfect choice. Combining the power of Daiwa’s SV Concept Spool and the patented T-Wing System, the Daiwa Tatula SV TW 70 Casting Reel provides very low start-up inertia and unrestricted line flow, which allows anglers to cast small crankbaits, tiny Texas-rigs, and other finesse presentations farther and more efficiently on baitcasting equipment than ever before. The HYPER DRIVE DESIGN also consists of four elements that create a rigid housing, as well as, a supported Digigear and Tough Clutch system that reduces the tolerances between moving parts to produce unrivaled smoothness and power.
For increased power and control, the Daiwa Tatula SV TW 70 Casting Reel is complimented by Daiwa’s Ultimate Tournament Drag (UTD) that dishes out 10lbs of super smooth drag that is crucial to landing big fish on light line. A 90mm swept handle design also provides improved cranking power. Backed by a magnetic brake control system that allows you to fine tune the reel for a wide range of lure weights, line sizes, and wind conditions, the Daiwa Tatula SV TW 70 Casting Reel is the ultimate compact reel for small bait applications.

Comments: Wow is all I have to say. I have all Shimano reels including the Antares and I am impressed. This is my first Daiwa ever and definitely not my last. Spool with 8lb fluorocarbon it can cast 3/8-1/2 oz as good or slightly better than all my Shimano reels. Might be switching to all Daiwa's after all. I recommend this reel!

Comments: This reel is AWESOME!! I am primarily a shimano guy and have several curados, 2 71 MGLs, a curado K and two DCs. I was in the market for another baitcaster and decided to give this a try for throwing smaller baits like a 1/4 oz shakey head or up to a 3/8 ball head swimbait. This reel casts a country mile! It pains me to say but I definitely prefer this to the curado 71 mgl. I spooled it with 10lb sunline sniper and I can almost cast all of the line out. The reel motion is incredibly smooth and the reel feels great when palming it. I would love to get another for 20lb braid to a leader for topwater presentations.

Comments: Outstanding reel! It has the feel of a Zillion in a 70 size frame. That says it all.

Comments: Incredible. Smooth. Bombs cast. Took the real for a test run today. It was so nice that I had to leave a review. I'm a Kayak fisherman from Florida, so I'm primarily in shallow water among thick vegetation. Close quarter combat fishing. I have the SLX 150 DC, SLX 70 MGL, Curado 70 MGL, and the Daiwa Coastal TWS. I wanted to add an 8:1 ratio reel to the arsenal and enjoy the 70 size for kayak applications. Very happy with this purchase. Now I just have to pull the trigger on the rod I want to pair it with. Yew!
