Overview

Crafted with the look, specs, and features of custom, high-end rods, minus the price  the Daiwa Rebellion Bass Glass Crankbait Casting Rods embody the idea of pushing outside of the norm. Built specifically for reaction baits, the Daiwa Rebellion Bass Glass Crankbait Casting Rods are manufactured using Daiwa’s Braiding X technology to prevent torsion caused by casting and hooksets, while dramatically improving power, operability, and sensitivity.

Unlike traditional rods, the Daiwa Rebellion Bass Glass Crankbait Casting Rods are built with a HVF (High Volume Fiber) construction that uses less resin, reducing the overall weight to create a lighter, more sensitive construction. Fitted with Daiwa’s Air Sensor reel seat for improved sensitivity, the Daiwa Rebellion Bass Glass Crankbait Casting Rods are built to redefine the notion of what an affordable rod can be.  Step outside of the norm and join the rebellion.

Comments: I have went through a lot of rods looking for a chatter bait rod that wasn't so bulky and heavy like most glass rods. throwing big cranks I don't mind it . But fishing targets going down the bank I wanted something lighter with plenty power but not that flimsy action. the 7'4 rebellion is the best rod iv ever thrown a chatter bait on .its lighter than most glass rods so it's a lot less fatigue throwing it all day I pair mine with a 6.3 dawia zillion on 20lb sunline. and it hammers them when they hit .

Comments: My review is about 7'3" MHG. One of the best glass rod I have ever used. Very light and sensitive" which are uncommon features for fiberglass rods." The components, Fit and finishing, are for the high-end rods. I don't know how Daiwa offers these rods for $200!? They are worth more than this price tag. I plan to get 7'3 MHF and 7 MFG.

Comments: I purchased the 7 medium glass. so I am comparing this to the daiwa tatula elite 7'2" medium glass. the rebellion is a lot lighter. feels great in hand. it bends a little more than the tatula elite.(fished it with otts slim crank) way more sensitive. balance well in hand. I mounted a zillion sv tw 1000 on it. if i could go back in time and return the tatula elite, I would! disregard the bottom two reviews.. not sure if they've ever fished glass before.. lol get yourself the rebellion glass series! you won't regret it!

Comments: The 7M Glass is the squarebill rod you want. You will not find a lighter glass rod on the market today. I'm having trouble believing it is glass, not just because of the weight, but because how sensitive it is as well. On top of that, the power and action action are perfect. Action/Power are comparable to a Dobyns DC705cb glass, but its 25% lighter, and again- sensitive. Most of my rods are Dobyns (great rods), but I reach for this one now when I'm crankin' a squarebill. This rod could also be used for traditional crankbaits <10ft. If I had one gripe about the rod, its the metal locking nut. It can get uncomfortable and cold at times. Minor annoyance- Don't let that deter you however.

Comments: I purchased a heavy for chatterbaits and absolutely love it. It has a good amount of sensitivity for a glass rod and is extremely light to be glass. I got a season out of it and will be adding a mh to the line up this year.

From: Brandon: Beckley, WV 1/25/22

Comments: Great crank bait rod, it is a glass rod but you can feel what your baits is doing and feel the top of grass. Got this rod this year and got a season under the belt with it, very impressed.

From: Jay Crocker: Samson Al 12/19/21

Comments: Super heavy, not balanced, and as the previous review stated you can't feel anything with these rods. Now, before I get slammed, I know glass rods are NOT designed to be sensitive but I have a St.Croix Mojo bass glass cranking rod and it seems like a $350 rod compared to the rebellion. I actually feel what's happening on the end of my line with the Mojo. The rebellion looks sweet, but looks don't catch fish

From: Lex: Minnesota 7/18/21

Comments: I bought two of these rods after owning a couple of the regular Rebellion rods. I gave them both about 4/5 trips out and I'm going to be sending both of them back. You honestly can't feel a single thing with these rods. You can't even feel your crank-bait wiggle. You can forget about feeling grass or bottom. Love the regular Rebellions. These are terrible IMO.
