Comments: The 7'6" Heavy flipping stick. The 16 inch handle is perfect. Denny Braver has been using this style of flipping stick his whole career. This is the last flipping rod you can find that actually has a 16" butt.

Comments: 7'6 Flipping (Heavy Fast) 11 3/4†handle length from inside of trigger to end of the handle. I'm extremely picky on the handle length of the rods I buy. I have a Daiwa SV with suffix 832 50lb braid and 20lb seaguar leader. I also had a Lews custom Lite but the rod didn't balance out because it was too light. My dislikes are you can feel the blank flex between the cork handle and the reel seat while fishing, this is really my only complaint and it's not bad it just feels weird. ( I don't own many cork handle rods) I caught a 4lb bass on the 3rd flip of a D-Bomb and it ripped it right off the bottom. And I don't do violent hook sets. Sensitivity is good, balance is good with around a 7 ounce or so reel although another 1" on the handle would be perfect. I love throwing swim jigs on it, smaller swimbaits keitech magdraft it's a good rod and I'm definitely happy with it. I hope this helps you with your decision.

Comments: This rod is made VERY WELL(beautiful actually)but, the 6'3" model has a tip that is TOO SLOW i.e. not light/fast enough. If you are looking to throw lighter than 1/2oz. lures this IS NOT THE ROD TO USE. 1/2oz. is OK but, go lighter than this and it will not perform well. Daiwa should know better..............for sure and made the tip of this rod much thinner, faster, more accurate casting of lures lighter than 1/2oz.

Comments: I purchased the 6'3" med. cast for the intended purpose for roll casting spinnerbaits. Make NO mistake, this is one quality rod. Fit and finish is perfect and it balances well with all my bait casters. This is not a rod for throwing crank baits or topwater but for the intended use (Spinnerbaits, T-rig plastics) it's perfect.

Comments: guys the 7'3 swimbait model is unbelievable. A beautiful rod with excellent action and weight, the rod is lighter than some of my trashier baitcasting rods. The cork on the rod is also very nice, as well the enlarged guides for leader knots. I have fished a couple of glide baits with this rod for a test (Shine glide 185, S waver 200, S waver 168) and it performed great, the rod has a softer backbone but is stiff enough to set the hook. First cast out caught a 4lb smallmouth! Nothing but good things to say so far.

Comments: I like this rod a lot 10/10 extremely comfortable to fish and very sensitive especially for a rod affordable enough to be someone's first bass rod around 100 dollars

Comments: I bought the 7'4" frog rod. I do like it, but it is a bit of a broom stick. This is a frog rod made for the heaviest of cover! It's not super balanced. It's a bit tip heavy imo, but I still like it. It's pretty light for such a beefy rod. I've even used it for flipping and pitching. I just wish it had a little bit softer tip, although I can launch a frog a mile with it. It has really helped with my hook up ration with a frog and that's probably due to how beefy it is. Overall I'm very happy with it.

Comments: I was a big fan of St.Croix rods before getting my hands on a Tatula rod. Those are awesome, especially for the price point. I was tired of fishing unbalanced and tip-heavy rods, so when I heard that the Tatula rods were the total opposite I felt like had found the solution to all of my problems. Those rods are so well balanced it's crazy. Comfortable reel seat, solid guides, sensitive (especially for that price point) and great actions. I sold all of my St-Croix to buy Tatula's, I now own 15 of them. The only thing I would say is that if you're looking for a good cranking/vibrating jig rod, go with the Tatula Elites (Brent Ehrler or Randy Howell). The ''glass cranking'' rods in the Tatula lineup are pretty heavy and not balanced at all, but the action is still great.

Comments: 7ft med reg...beautiful rod used inshore saltwater trow 1.5's and underspins around oyster bars, sand bars/shoals flawless. god bless.

Comments: The 6'6" is so versatile I use it primarily for weightless Senko type baits and have used it also for topwater spooks, poppers and chuggers. Light, fast, sensitive and well balanced, I'd say perfectly balanced. This rod makes the IMX-783 feel like a heavy, unrefined, piece of lumber in comparison. Daiwa has a great line of rods here as evidenced by them constantly being sold out.

Comments: Really like these rods. I have the Frog rod and it's super light and I love the reel seat. Super comfortable to work a frog with but it has a ton of backbone. I feel confident using this in the heaviest of cover for frogs and even flipping. Will definitely be adding more to my arsenal, best bang for the buck on the market.

Comments: 7 3 swimbait rod is a very well built versatile rod. Handle part is17.5 inches + foregrip, its light for its size and power, a stout medium-fast action all double wrapped slightly larger guides than others in this series. Nicely done Diawa. Many uses for this rod vs. a big bulky rod.
From: Mark 4/3/21
Comments: I bought the 7'6 med heavy for a do everything rod and it is now my favorite rod. I can not put it down, the first time I took it out I put it to the test and threw an A rig all day and caught 3 3lbers. Rod felt amazing. I am a fan of the micro guides and I always throw braid to leader and I dont have troubles with the knot getting caught in the guides probably because I tie a royal polaris knot. But in general love this rod and im probably add more to my arsenal (if you buy and you tie leaders, tie a royal polaris knot, its simple and runs through the guides smooth)

Comments: I got the 7'1" medium-heavy rod, extra-fast. The action is perfect for spinnerbaits and particularly good for casting jigs. It's also my favorite rod for skipping docks. I find the handle extremely comfortable, and the rod light-and-crisp. Over-all, I love the rod. My only gripe is the tiny, micro guides at the top - definitely not good with knots. Do the guys who design these even fish?
From: Paul Prorok: Reedsburg, Wisconsin 12/12/20
Comments: I have the 6'6" Medium/Fast action. I bought this rod partially because it has a full cork handle. I don't really have a preference between full or split grip. I own and fish both, but, it seems like everything on the market lately is split grip. It was a relief to find a lightweight, sensitive, balanced rod with a full grip.
This rod is incredibly balanced and truly lightweight. The reel seat is the Fuji PTS low profile and it is great for palming.
It is hands down more sensitive than my G Loomis IMX-PRO 783 MBR, it is also better balanced and lighter with the 783 being tip heavy in comparison.
Workmanship, components and aesthetics are all first rate. The Tatula series in my experience punches way above it's weight.

Comments: Just got the 7'3 swimbait rod. Love it. Paired with a tatula HD200. Rod is super light, fast tip and can use big jigs on it too
From: Greg: Enfield, CT 9/15/20
Comments: when these first came out. I was impressed. after purchasing multiple rods and using them a whole season. I didn't like them as i would like too. they felt bulky and heavy at the end of a day. also wish they came as split grip and not full cork handle. upgraded all my rods to the elite series/ags. having much better turn around with the switch. team daiwa ftw.

Comments: 6'10" MH: Excellent all around bass rod. Great for jigs, T Rigs, spinnerbaits, swim jigs, and belly weighted swimbaits. It's a great bottom contact rod, it has great sensitivity and feel. The components are nice, with high quality guides, and reel seat. The cork feels great but isn't super soft like G Loomis or higher end St Croix rods. Accurate caster. Over all it's a great bass rod with strong backbone for hook sets, is well balanced, and sensitive. A very comfortable rod.

Comments: Bought one of these rods (7' 4" heavy) on the fly after my Dobyns Sierra broke. I fell in love with this rod instantly. Pretty impressive how light the rod is with how much freakin power is behind it. That little bit of tip is really nice for working the frog and jig fishing. You wont be disappointed.
From: Sam: Fort Collins, CO 5/15/20
Comments: After owning the 7'3" MH for almost a year, I have to say that overall I'm not impressed. Firstly, I feel that those who are saying the rod is light and sensitive have upgraded from much lesser equipment. The Dobyns Fury I "upgraded" from is much more sensitive, and the Tatula feels tip heavy with my SV on it. Second, I like to fully palm the reel with my index below the line guide, so the locking nut is between my fingers. The large cork locking nut spreads my fingers pretty far apart, causing some discomfort after hours on the water. I wear an xl glove, so not small hands. Thirdly, after a short time on the water any dirt or debris your line picks up builds up on the guides terribly, causing a gritty sound and feel through the rod blank when reeling line in. All of this aside, the rod has exceptional backbone and drives hooks home with ease. I think you're paying for cosmetics here though, and I just don't feel that backbone and good looks warrant the lack of sensitivity.
From: Ryan: California 3/11/20
Comments: I'm totally addicted to these rods, I got one now I have 4. They are very SENSITIVE, light, strong, balanced, loads nicely, quality components, cast mile fished like a $350-$400 rod.
From: Unknown: Everglades 2/13/20
Comments: These rods are super lite and balanced! Not to mention very sexy with the new cork handles. The only issue I have is that they are way stiffer than the older model. I received the 761hfb flipping stick as a warranty exchange for a broken original Tatula. It has almost zero give in the tip. It really makes me feel like it is going to snap on a hook set. I guess only time will tell though. I love the way it feels as of now. Especially with a lighter reel strapped on.

Comments: I am super stoked with the Daiwa Tatula rods ! Super light and sensitive. Loving the 7'1 med heavy for worms/senkos. And 7'4 frog rod for frogs and gambler big ez's. Plan on buying more for sure.
From: John: Lake Wales, FL 1/1/20
Comments: I picked up the 7'2 medium hoping it would be a great crank bait / square bill rod. was a little worried it may have to much parabolic bend - but it's perfect. whewww. Also a very detailed sexy looking rod - I've learned daiwa makes some very nice rods at a more then fair price. have this one married to a daiwa tatula SV TW reel. great looking match
From: Dean: Las Vegas, NV 10/24/19
Comments: VERY impressed...light weight, fantastic reel seat, really nice cork, great action....really fun, comfortable rod to fish....have had quite a few Daiwa rods in my day, this one at this price is hard to compare....for 150.00 I feel like I stole it
From: Bob: Pennsylvania 10/1/19
Comments: I have the 6'10" MH rod. It is a perfect jig and texas rig rod. It's very sensitive, and has an excellent crisp feel. The taper is pretty fast but not overly stiff. Casts great and is very accurate. It's really a beautiful rod, and seems like a higher end rod than the price point it's in. It also make a nice whopper plopper, spinner bait, and swim jig rod.
From: Toby: New York 9/27/19
Comments: Very comfortable reel seat ! Some good rods out there have crappy reel seats with sharp edges that become very irritating after several hours of hard fishing. Rod is really light (7-4 H) and versatile. You could get away most techniques on the 7-4 Heavy. It has tons of power/backbone, but the tip is soft enough to throw deep diving cranks on. It's amazing! Looking forward to trying some other models. Very impressed
From: Steve: Ontario, CA 8/23/19
Comments: These are excellent rods! Own 2 so far (7'1" MH for top water and 7' M for shallow cranks) and purchasing a third soon (7'4" H for flipping/frog). Light and sensitive as previously stated by others. I had a 50+ lb snapping turtle hit my frog the other day and this rod held up nicely, no cracks or breaks. These are perfect for the guy (such as myself) that doesn't want the cheap crap but also doesn't want to throw out $300+ for higher end rods.
From: Tim: Virgina 6/20/19
Comments: Amazing rod. Love the new cork handle. Very light for a flipping stick, got 7'6 heavy and extremely light and sensitive. Great combo when paired with a tatula real.
From: Cameron: Arkansas 2/28/19
Comments: I got two spinning and two casting new tatula rod and can say the rods are PHENOMENAL. Very light. Excellent balance. Perfect castability. Didn't find any flaw. May be the best on all daiwa rod's line.
From: Alex - New York 2/8/19
Comments: Used these rods this past fall . 7'1" mh and h for jig fishing. The sensitivity, cast ability, weight and quality cannot be touched at this price point. Balance was exceptional. Components are first rate. Will definitely be buying more.
