Comments: I ordered the 7' Medium Fast action. This rod feels like an Extra Heavy, Extra Fast rod, not a Medium Fast. Its STIFF. The tip hardly bends so casting lures that aren't 3/4 oz or higher is extremely difficult. I've swapped to using this as a frog and jig rod with heavy braid because of how stiff it is, and I still have a hard time casting those heavier weight lures because the tip doesn't load up on the back cast. I have about 10 fishing trips on the rod and its still very very stiff, not sure if I need to break it in more or what, but it doesn't perform like a Medium power rod should for mid weight lures

Comments: This rod is pretty light and feels very good in the hand; preforms like its far more expensive then it is.

Comments: I got the 7'4" heavy Frog rod from another retailer a couple weeks ago after iCast release and this rod is awesome. Fit & finish is solid for a $99 rod. Actions is spot on for a frog rod: tip not too stiff but not too parabolic. Has easily pulled big bass out of early season Chickamauga slop. No issue with distance throwing my ol'faithful SPRO Bronzeye 65 & Stanley Top Toads. My old go-to frog rod was the Dob 735c which is a great rod but the new Tatula XT 7'4" weights 4.6oz where the Dob 735c weights 6.4oz. There's a noticeable weight difference in hand which will be nice after a full day of froggin. We'll see how it holds up this fall after pounding mats on Chick but the initial verdict is: positively surprised with the quality & action.
