7'4" is a Redfish machineI bought this rod over a year ago for frog fishing. Yup it does that very well. I've now takin it on 2 Louisiana Redfishing trips and this rod have zero issue handling 30"+ redfish with a 200 reel. I had 40 fish days in the marsh and almost all were caught on this rod. So light weight and SO fun to fish. For $99 is a no brainer.

Best rod for the priceI own the 7' medium heavy-fast and medium-fast rods. I use the medium heavy for jigs, Texas rigs, chatter baits, and lipless cranks. I use the medium for flukes, light texas rigs, and chatter baits. Both rods have Diawa Tatula reels with 12 lb flouro. Both rod perform flawlessly with these baits. The rods are light, very sensitive, and comfortable in the hand even after a full day on the water. So far I've caught 50-60 bass on them. I can feel the spongier backbone in the medium rod on hook sets that prevents pulling the bait out of the fish's mouth. The fight feels great with the medium power rod. The Medium heavy rod has a stiff backbone that gives me confidence on a hard hook set or when a fish goes down into the grass. I'm extremely happy with my purchases and at this price point I plan on adding more of these to my collection. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great casting rod at the bargain price point.

Great RodI've got the tatula xt and a tatula glass casting rod, the xt is just a better rod. I was dissapointed in the glass casting rod (not the glass XT), the glue that held the guides on cracked after a few uses, but this xt is amazing. Super lightweight, great for cranks or jerkbaits. Highly recommend the tatual xt.

WorksGot this to replace my $30 dollar rod. Took it out today and it cast my normal weightless worms pretty easily. It has a lower profile too. Glad I got it! Can’t wait to catch some hogs on it

Comments: I ordered the 7' Medium Fast action. This rod feels like an Extra Heavy, Extra Fast rod, not a Medium Fast. Its STIFF. The tip hardly bends so casting lures that aren't 3/4 oz or higher is extremely difficult. I've swapped to using this as a frog and jig rod with heavy braid because of how stiff it is, and I still have a hard time casting those heavier weight lures because the tip doesn't load up on the back cast. I have about 10 fishing trips on the rod and its still very very stiff, not sure if I need to break it in more or what, but it doesn't perform like a Medium power rod should for mid weight lures

Comments: This rod is pretty light and feels very good in the hand; preforms like its far more expensive then it is.

Comments: I got the 7'4" heavy Frog rod from another retailer a couple weeks ago after iCast release and this rod is awesome. Fit & finish is solid for a $99 rod. Actions is spot on for a frog rod: tip not too stiff but not too parabolic. Has easily pulled big bass out of early season Chickamauga slop. No issue with distance throwing my ol'faithful SPRO Bronzeye 65 & Stanley Top Toads. My old go-to frog rod was the Dob 735c which is a great rod but the new Tatula XT 7'4" weights 4.6oz where the Dob 735c weights 6.4oz. There's a noticeable weight difference in hand which will be nice after a full day of froggin. We'll see how it holds up this fall after pounding mats on Chick but the initial verdict is: positively surprised with the quality & action.
