Comments: I have been using this reel for months and the reel still feels like new! I now use the reel for throwing weight-less 12in+ plastics w/a 7'2 MH favorite rod w/12lb fluoro and it casts far and smoootthhh. If there is any down remarks in regards to the reel its that it gets dirty quicker then others, just hit it with a magic eraser and you're good. Good luck and happy fishing everyone!

Comments: This Custom Inshore is smmoooottthhhh like buttah! I went for the custom inshore when we moved to the coast, and I'll be buying another soon. The ability to fine tune this is so great for all the different styles of fishing we do inshore here, especially from a kayak. The only thing I have done to this reel is rinse it with some fresh water when we come in and its as sweet as day one...maybe better since it has broken in. Buy this reel!

Comments: This reel is garbage high price point but poorly constructed. The Reel spins backward and the spool control know which controls line speed while casting quit working. I contacted Lew's and as of yet they haven't done anything to fix the situation.

Comments: This reel has been great. Smooth and cast a mile. Caught several stripers and decent largemouth.

Comments: I bought this reel to use for both fresh and saltwater. On my first outing frog fishing for bass, the drag completely stripped and was no longer functional. I only caught two fish, the largest was 4 lbs. I tightened the drag as much as I could and the line would barely stay tight as I reeled. I really liked everything about this reel, but I sent it back to be replaced by a Shimano.

Comments: been a lew's customer my whole life and this was the first defective reel i have ever bought. with drag even turned all the way up, simply moving my rod tip line would coming out. Could pull line out like nothing with my fingers on highest drag setting. Contacted Lew's customer support to get it fixed. Not hating on lews, but cmon, you can do better

Comments: I got my reel in December and I haven't had time to really use it at all since I live in New England, but I casted it a couple times and it is smooth as butter. Hopefully I will be able to fully use it in a month or so. I will do a full review when i use it for a couple months. The patented speed keeper is actually an awesome feature! Very useful if you don't like your rods keeper or scratching the top of your reel. Oh and thanks TW or the fast shipping
