Comments: I love everything about this rod.....but the grip. The sensitivity is amazing, the guides are amazing, the handle is horrible. It's hands down the most uncomfortable grip I have ever used. I upgraded from the Avid X to the Legend X and I was expecting better. The Avid X has a top down thread and uses a cork nut to lock it down. Your fingers go over this and it's comfy. The Legend X uses a bottom up lock and it uses a plastic nut; once you lock it down, your fingers sit on the threads and it get very uncomfortable to fish all day with this rod. Like I said, everything else about this is perfect. I cannot believe the lack of engineering that went into this, if they used the same cork nut that the Avid X (cheaper option by about half) this rod would be perfect. When you look at the picture you will see a cork piece below the thread, this piece is there just for show. There is no practical reason for it because it's too far away to grip and you obviously don't use it for your leverage when casting. It is a huge fail and I am very disappointed in this one, it's probably the only St. Croix rod I can say that about. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to go because they all use this except for the Legend Xtreme, but I don't like those ratings and I like the cork grip. They went back to the top down thread, but that is also another 200-300 more.

Comments: I have the 6'8 '' med, x-fast paired with a Daiwa Ballistic LT 2500 which gives me a set under 10 oz. I use for finesse peaches. The Torzite rings are a plus for lightness, sensitivity and distance of the throws. The finish is impeccable too. It is worth the money invested.

Comments: Own a bunch of nice rods. My last two were a 6' 10" ML and the 7' M in this line. Very very nice rods. Light weight and sensitive. Wish there were more actions in this line up... I have a couple slightly older legend elites in the 7' 6" ML and M. They both have micro guides on them which are a pain when fishing braid and floro leaders. I believe they no longer put micro guides on the legend elite series due to complaints but this line up no issues with guide size. This is a very nice rod.

Comments: Love my Legend X. Paired with Shimano Stradic CI4+, super light, ultra sensitive, caught lots Bass with it. Could pass for Heavy action (Kinda stiff). Pricey, but worth it. Would buy again.
