They also feature super high-modulus SCVI Carbon with FRS in the lower section for maximum power and strength with reduced weight. St. Croix’s TET (Taper Enhancement Technology) blank design provides curved patterns for improved actions with increased sensitivity as well.

They are equipped with Daiwa’s exclusive AGS carbon fiber guide system and Fuji’s KG tip with Torznite ring for the top, which is lighter than any other guide system in the world to increase vibration transmissions for the ultimate in sensitivity. Best rods on earthThis is my first rod at this price point and it exceeded my expectation. It's hard to believe SC created a rod this solid and strong feeling with this much feel. Worth every penny. I could not be happier with it.

Comments: I purchased a 7'6 medium - reluctantly due to the cost. However, I could not be more pleased and satisfied. I use this rod with a dropshot set-up (6 lb. braid and 8 lb. fluorocarbon leader). I've used it for the past two months and am completely satisfied and impressed. The rod is hypersensitive and has held up well to nice sized bass and snags alike. Like all St. Croix rods I enjoy a light weight and durable piece of gear. When the budget is right, I'll not hesitate to purchase another Xtreme spinning rod.

Comments: These things are unreal you could argue g loomis or another company has a better 6-700$ rod but it doesn't matter you break this rod no questions asked your getting a new one g-loomis owned by shimano has some of the worst customer service and warranty in the industry I'd never buy a high end rod from anyone but st croix because they stand behind their products argument settled you can't even deny that you call them they don't pick up the phone or try and charge you a few hundred plus shipping both ways to replace a defective rod st croix all you do is send it to them and you get the same rod brand new free you can't beat it

Comments: Very sensitive and better handles then the older gens. But I really hate the guides. On a windy day lines get tangled up alot with the huge guides.

Comments: Got the XFS610MLXF and love it. Haven't put too many fish on it yet but so far the rod has performed perfectly.  Very light and super sensitive. Love the new handle.  One of the issues I have with rods is right below the reel seat is where it screws the handle tight. My hand often rests on those turns and it becomes irritating. This does not have that issue.   Is it worth extra $200 over the original xtreme?  I'm not convinced yet.  But for now I greatly enjoy using it. Will update with a review later this year after it gets a good work out.

Update: Overall I do not regret purchasing this rod.  Incredibly light, super sensitive, great backbone easily handling larger fish. Feels great in the hand and when a fish is on. However, if you ask me if it's worth the extra $200 over the old Legend Extremes I would have to say no.  Very curious to see what other think.
