Comments: Decent reel for the price. Mine is the 7:1 ratio and felt under powered either reeling a fish or just retrieving a crankbait so I put a 95mm handle on it and that helped. Other than that it's smooth and casts good once dialed in. I use it for bottom contact baits now. I recommend it however I personally would get something like a SLX at the $100 price point. Also, it's a Doyo, under the plate to me it looks just like a cheap Lew's, not necessarily a bad thing just that it's important to know before buying

Comments: Great reel for the price. Smooth, compact and durable. Caught five larges the first time I took it out.

Comments: Great reel. TW had it on sale at $67 from $99, so can't beat the quality of Daiwa for a baitcaster at a price like that. Been smooth and easy to cast so far (one month). Very happy with this reel.

Comments: Not a bad piece for the price. Definitely not a flipping real. Better for power fishing. Cranks, spinners, swim baits, etc. I wouldn't recommend it for much more than that. I have 2 of em. Use em to throw big and bigger cranks on 7'6" and 7'10" cranking rods. Not terrible for the price. When you need multiple reels. It's hard to suffice spending a bunch on a simple cranking reel.

Comments: Decent reel for price. Compact, reasonably smooth. Brakes aren't bad, not amazing. For the same price I prefer the base SLX reel, though some people prefer the ease of a magnetic brake, but if that's not a deal breaker the SLX just feels better all around. Casting is similar between the two though. I have my CA80 on a Skeet Reese crank rod, 15lb mono, does great for lipless cranks. The Fuego CT has much better brakes, but is also a larger reel, in that regard I prefer the Daiwa 80's even if they're Doyo made. I recommend this reel to anyone.

this reel is decent enough but the braking system leaves much to be desired, for around the same price, a fuego 100 comes with a magforce braking system, which handles lighter lures significantly better.

Comments: This was the first baitcaster that I have purchased so my opinion will not count for much, but it seems like a good reel. I particularly liked having the high gear ratio for using crankbaits. It seems quite smooth; unlike a couple of cheap reels I have used before. The one thing that I did expect was that the breaks did not seem to do much, but that was likely just me. I will be getting a couple more for sure!

Comments: It started with the black max. And that lasted a while, I became a tackle junkie and this was my first good baitcaster. For the price this is the best reel you will get. Easy to tune. Very light, casts a mile, strong, looks good and comfortable. No other company has a reel this good for the same price I promise

Comments: I've had this reel for over a year now, fishing 2-3 times a week at least. I use this as my pitching and Flipping reel, and With minimal maintenance, the reel is still smooth as butter. I've had no issues with the reel whatsoever. The aluminum frame has held up very nicely, unlike similar graphite framed reels. The breaks are easy to operate and dial in. It is nice and low profile, so palmability and comfort is great. Overall, I would 100% recommend this reel especially in this price range.

Comments: For a reel costing 100 dollars it performs better than expected. Brake works well to stop backlash. And it has reeled in some decent bass without issues. I recommend it for the price point.

Comments:Have a cc80 and I wanted something a little faster... honestly for the price I would just stick with the cc80... I didn't really notice the difference with bearing increase... another option is the fuego. that reel is bigger and heavier but way smoother

Comments:This reel is great for its price point, solid aluminum frame, great casting distance, and feels smooth as ever on the retrieve. This is a great looking, solid preforming reel that is definitely worth the money. Would recommend this reel to any beginner/intermediate fisher looking for a quality baitcaster that isn't going to break the bank.
