Deps was established in 1996 by monster fish hunter, Kazumasa Okumura. The company is based out of Kyoto, Japan just minutes from the infamous Lake Biwa which produced the tie for the world record largemouth at 22 lbs. 4 oz. From day one it has been Deps' mission to design and release products that will help every angler target and catch monster bass. They are best known for putting glide baits on the map in the USA with the Slide Swimmer 175 and 250. A true power house in the Japanese market, Deps is one of the only Japanese tackle manufacturers left that continues to produce high quality products for bass fishing only.
