Comments: Hard to find a rod that's 1 to 1.5 ounce medium duty. I like it. I bought for fishing in Canada. Muskies and Pike and all that. Works wonderfully. Paired it with a Daiwa Tatula 300 and I have a Shimano 300E as a back up. (love both reels)

Comments: Matched with a Lews reel and 14# line. Caught a dozen bass to 3# on jigs. Really easy to cast .Just need a big one to put a load on it, Maybe next trip. I'm really happy with this setup.

Comments: Lew's NEVER fails to make me happy! I own 7 Lew's baitcast reels right now alone but for some reason this is only the second Lew's rod I have bought since my first Lew's Speed Stick in the late 70'S. But this new Super Duty rod is going to be one of my favorites! I paired it up with the Lew's Super Duty 300 and it feels just awesome... I've never fished with such comfortable grip in my life! I bought it specifically for large swimbaits, Glide baits, umbrella rigs, etc and it's AWESOME! Haven't hooked up to a fish yet this year since I bought it, but I know it's going to be fun and won't be disappointed!!!

Comments: Rather than having mix of rod brands, I have selected a manufacturer that fit me and used them almost exclusively. Although the I selected different lengths and weights for varying techniques, I find similarities throughout the brand that are constant. I look for quality wrap, finish, quality components, reel seat design etc. With that said, I have consistently had challenges with micro-guides. It is likely just my style of fishing, but if it is not the guide insert, it is the guide. So, I was in the market for a change and after looking at numerous rods, I decided to give Lews a shot. So far, I have been very pleased. All of the elements aforementioned appear to be quality components and the workmanship , at this early stage, rivals higher-cost rods. So, I am pleased with the rod. I bought 3 initially and have started putting them to the test. At this time, yet it is early, I would give the Lews Super Duty Rods and an "A".

Comments: So far I like it. I bought the 8' multi species 1-4oz because I prefer split grips. I dont have a lot of catches on it because I got it so late in the year. I bought this for treble hook baits because my fury 806 was too much. This rod loads up great. The winn grips are amazing. I have it paired with a super duty 300 LFS and Im very happy with how it feels in my hand. I took a gamble on this rod. Its brand new with no reviews but Ive been so impressed with my super duty reel that I had to pair them up. Spring will tell the true tale but for now Im very satisfied with my purchase
