Originating in Japan, Bait Finesse System or commonly referred to as BFS, was initially used to tempt fickle trout from shallow streams with casting gear. Over time, the concept of BFS, was accepted by the bass fishing community as a way to tempt light feeding fish with small crankbaits, jerkbaits, topwaters, jigs, and soft plastics. Now, with the development of specialized casting rods and casting reels, these baits can be just as effective as their full-sized counterparts.
